I'd rather catch my own from the river and let my old lady cook it, carp are tasty now!

My favorite is the Pyramid and I stress the only reason that is because of the salad bar.

LOL, the only reason I LOL over this answer is, I'd like to see some guy tell his old lady to cook a fish, his old lady would smack his ass with the fish first, then tell him what to do and he would, its the law and ways of the natives!

I wouldn't be having any fish frys in Salamanca. We've been trying other places around Catt Co. So far our favorites are the Barn in Ellicotville. Its $9 and you wont walk out hungry thats for sure. The Coach Inns fish fry is ok- but the atmosphere is awful. Looks like a junkyard.

There used to be a place called The Coachman's Inn in Little Valley; is that the same place?

I think Nye's (maybe same Nye's from Salamanca?) used to own it ...

Now that I think of it, we used to go to Nye's on 219 in Salamanca for fish fry ...

It was a Railroad hangout ...

Used to know them. The owner's wife died many years ago, and I heard it closed and then re-opened but was never as good ...

I remember at the Coachmans they had a silver dollar tack welded to a nailhead and then driven into the floor between the bar and dining room. I can't yell you how many people stopped and tried to pick that damn thing up. LOL

Yep...good fish fries and excellent steak dinners.

Now it's Langworty's for me for fish. Don't care for the beens tho.

I remember when the Coach Inn was "The Rock," and all of the underage people would go there to drink because they didn't give a shit.

No wonder they only lasted a short time.

Dont recall The Rock must of been after Coachmans closed the first time. I wish it was still open- the place now whoever runs it has ruined it. It just looks trashy. Sad.

I agree the Pyramid does a pretty consistent job.
