With marriage a 50-50 crap shoot, which is about the national average for marriages ending in divorce, wouldn't it be interesting if say after 5 years the marriage would expire. Sort of like drivers licenses if you want to renew for another 5 years you go ahead and do it, if not, see you later. No hard feelings or costly lawyer fees. I know when you get married everyone says it WILL BE forever, but it would be nice to have a 5 year "escape clause" if things don't work out. They should also have mandatory "prenup" rules, when you move on, you both get what you came into the marriage with and split things obtained during marriage. This would also prevent gold digging girls or guys just getting married because he or she is wealthy.

Marriage has an expiration date, it is 364 days {annulment). After 365 days you have to divorce through the court system.

In case you don't get it.....Lack of commitment.....that was the point. We all weren't raised in Humphrey where cousins trailer hop to break up the monotony ( not to be confused with monogamy)!

Untrue. The only grounds for annulment in the good ole state of NY is if the man cannot "medically proven" perform as a man. Trust me - I tried!!!

WOW your good !! Your so good in showing how much you do not know but good at spreading things that you have heard !!

Fact one. Your feeble mind missed that my post was in humor. I am sorry if it seemed as a personal post about your life..

NOTE: "What happened to til death do us part?"
You MISSED Posting in "Marriage should have an expiration date!"

Fact two, I was not raised in Humphry. Non of my children was nor are any of my grandchildren..

Fact three, Out of the (9) of us 1 marriage ended in divorce 1 ended by death and the rest are still going up to and over 30 years!!! I personally find that pretty good family record given the things I have heard.

And as far as your comment "In case you don't get it.....Lack of commitment"...

Fact four, I married my wife when I was 20 years old. We are still married and I am turning 51. I would tend to think I know a little something about Commitment..

"cousins trailer hop" LMAO !!
Don't worry I won't tell anyone there is only 1 trailer your talking about.. I am sure my 77 year old aunt that stood by her man (50+ years) untill his death would put the coffee on and even cook up some food for you, cousins or not... She is a beautiful person..

No obviosly ignorance is in salamanca water when u get married u are swearing under GOD to love and cherish til death do u part... So ur options that ur obviosly missing is that u find that person u cant live with out an make sure thats what the both of you want then get married...Im not saying even that it will b perfect cuz nothing is but that also takes me back to my,previous point to make sure thats,what u want and work through it!

If you let your marriage "expire", would you still be cousins?

Geebus, Tim. Reading "your" for "you're" so many times in your post is like gargling shards of razor blades.

"You are" == "You're" Visualize the apostrophe replacing the 'a'.

"Your" is possessive: Eg. "This is your cue to start using 'you're' for 'you are.'"

Alright, now get back out there and teach those pigs to sing.

The apostrophe expresses either something missing or possession. For example:

you are -> you're - the 'a' is missing
I will -> I'll - the "wi" is missing
they are -> they're - the 'a' is missing

Possession: "Tim's glasses need cleaning." Because I'm referring to your glasses, I use 's.

So, from above, it's "nuts" - no apostrophe because there's no possession - and you're correct with "I'll try." Actually, "I shall try" is also correct, but more formal.
