Who cares it was in another state. I'm sick of hearing about it already. You don't see this much publicity when a soldier dies defending the country

Once again there will be the ones that say its the guns and that they need to be banned. Sorry to you shallow minded bandwagon jumpers who have never even shot a gun or been near someone that owns one and knows what its to be and not be used for. However,
This site is a perfect example of the problem. The hate, the putdowns, the opinions that are aired in print for all to see. What children are subject to in their own home is a reflection of how children behave outside the home. Also the video games that make killing people and blowing everthing and anything up all for fun that they are allowed to (play), used to keep the child out of the parents hair because they would rather ignore their own child rather than teach them something to make their life better in the future. I know there are parents out there that are a large part of their kids lives and this isn't directed toward you. Its the parents that never grew up themselves that still think a bar or getting high/wasted is more important and dump their kids off on grandma or grandpa or anyone else they can thinking they will teach them something. Then send them to a school where theres no morals, not just by other students, but the very teachers that don't feel the need to teach any. You bring these kids into this world and teach them no respect and no morals because you don't have any. This is the kind of things happen.
I also blame the media and this exploit of instant news. They dump the most horrific news across that screen and have no reguard to what they are subjecting poorly brought up, neglected, ignored children. When these so called parents have no idea what their kids see, say, or do and the TV puts unexplained ideas in the kids heads without anyone to explain it in real life terms after they see it. Just what do you think they think? So if you don't want your kid to become the next kid on TV that does the unspeakable. Maybe you might want to become a different kind of parent.

Get Real I agree with most of your opinion. Early 80's was the end of children having genuine fun. This of course from an adult. Now a days every time I think of the many times I was grounded to my room I wonder what parents do today to punish there children. Here is a thought... How can you punish a child? Today's generation all have video game consoles, internet, laptops, and god knows what in there room... Sending them to there room? How, There probably already there. Why come out?
I see swing sets and such in peoples yards and ponder if that is punishment to send the child outside? I am guessing that to be true.

How can you say such a thing? Every soldier knows the risks when they join any of the armed services. Yes, it's a terrible tragedy when we lose even one man in any war but to equate that to the loss of those children and teachers in CT is totally cold and uncaring. Dammit, children should be able to feel safe going to school! And it will be in the news for many days to come so deal with it and think about the families of those who lost loved ones instead of whining about being tired of hearing about.

If your child is shot at school, do you want people from other states to say "who cares"? I highly doubt it!

It almost happened here in Salamanca. A few years ago an angry disturbed young man entered Salamanca High with a shotgun with the intent to do physical harm to his father who was a teacher. The school was locked down BUT, instead of calling law enforcement the principal took it upon himself to difuse the situation. Law enforcement was finally notified but the incident was kept hush hush because it involved a teacher and his son.
One has to wonder what would have happened if it was a Black, Hispanic or Native.
The double standard would have prevailed.

Many of the nightmarish killings of recent memory, especially the bizarre family tragedies which seem to be occurring with increasing frequency, have been scientifically linked to a sleep disorder caused by commonly-used, but dangerous and addictive anti-depressant medications.

No, not mad. Saddened you don't have deep understanding. I even felt it would be wasting my time to explain, or try to correct your poor thinking skills, that's all.

Sorry, I got off topic. Anyhow, I would like to send my condolences to the families who lost or where involved in the school shooting.
