Chesterfield, Wentzville, Town and Country and Manchester. These are just some of the cities in Missouri that have already repealed their breed specific ordinances.

This is to SIKESTON, MO town council. What the hell is wrong with your NAZI town, Pit bulls are not dangerous unless miss treated or threatened. I hope the residents sue your butts off for the loss of their pets without due process.

and the K-9 unit german shephards arent aggressive dogs? oh but they have been trained and have absolutely no chance of any negative action. whos to say none of these dogs went to obedience school. reguardless any dog can be mean, any large breed dog when aggrivated can hurt someone. i have 4 kids and they have a staffordshire sister that they love and is legal. i hate it for the one who tries to take her from us.

alot of these dogs are better than the majority of human trash that inhabit sikeston.
so lets round up all the violent criminals and sex offenders that really have hurt people and are likely to do it again and kill them? oh thats just inhumane though.

To hell with a pit bull! Big thumbs up to sikeston!!! If you rejects would actually read the article it says that they only took 3 dogs because their owner were not in compliance with the code that they were supposed to be complying to.

If pit bull ownners are not in compliance with city ordinance then city authorities are correct to do something including confiscating the dogs.

Good job, Sikeston.

Don't you all get it? These cities don't give twoshits about pitbulls. It's the owners that are the real targets.
Too many druggies, dealers and poor undesirables own them.
The owners are the the ones they really want gone. Landlords, neighbors, insurance agents put pressure on cops and then city council to make pitbull bans . It encourages them to leave.
The non-scum owners are just collateral damage...

the city ordinance is a stereotype, just like sayin the black guy with the rims on his car is a drug dealer.

The elderly parents of a friend had a chicken coop in their backyard several years ago. 2 pitbulls running loose tore down the chicken wire to get inside the coop and then they killed the chickens.

I'd be glad if Sikeston banned pit bulls altogether but instead the city tries to work with the loser owners of those worthless mutts.

Follow the law or lose your mutt. Simple.

there is the ordinance from what i can tell. the only thing i think is overkill is that you can't leash it to a tree with a muzzle.that just seems like a gotcha and gives law enforcement a way to come on your property which is a horrible inconvenience if you break other laws.but you have to know your regulations.no excuses.

I own a Pit Bull and what your town is doing is a discrace. BSL is wrong.... It's how the dog is raised you know any dog can be a BAD Dog.
How can you sit behind your desk and allow innocent dogs be put down for No Reason Other than for being a Pit Bull.... A breed you choose not to Educate yourselves about.... The leaders in this town seem like a bunch of Modern Day Lench Mobbers....

Oh it's not the dog it's the owner! Lol idiot! Tell that to the countless of people that have had their little ones face ripped off. It is always "that never happened before! He/she wouldn't hurt a fly!" We'll guess what?!?! It did!!!! Killem all and that will fix it.
