My family is considering moving soon. What are the best neighborhoods for families with children? I've heard that Indian Head is a nice place for kids. Does anyone know anything about that area or have any other recommendations?

You have to be in the 'clique'. Those bored nosey bitches ruin the place. If you like to sleep with your neighbors spouse, have your property taxes jump and your home value dip a little more each year, or have a dog that likes to shit in everyones yard but yours, i say go for it, you should fit right in. Youll even get to pay $75 a month in dues to smell sewer gas every time it rains, dodge all the potholes you can stand, have one stop shopping for pills, weed, AND meth, and not get the streets plowed in the winter.

If you dont do drugs or drama, have a life, and prefer people stay out of yours, you may want to look somewhere else.

Coal river rd is a dangerous road. I wouldn't want to drive it everyday. To many idiot drivers out there...

i like the downtown area of St. Albans. 5th, 6th, or 7th Ave and the side streets. not much traffic (except on 6th Ave). and everything is so close. you can walk or ride your bike anywhere you need to go. great for kids, strollers, and for bike riding...

Everything that "run" said is completely true. I lived there for 2 years (moved last year) I'd like to add the kids run the place and steal your things. Definitely a horrible place to live, everyone is rude there!!!!

It's pretty funny that kitchen cook joe can't spell and doesn't know the difference between "your" and "you're". Dumbass.

Careful joe. Some of the scumbags on here sound butthurt! This place is hardly one notch above those apartments on cemetery hill in charleston.
No princess, I'm not butthurt at all. Indian Head sucks and I'll admit that. I just thought it was funny that he was describing people like that and it sounds like he's probably one of those people. It's not my fault he's a moron who can't spell or use proper grammar.

I have to agree with the above poster. It's not his fault that most of you idiots can't spell. RimjobRonald......do you call yourself that because you give really good rimjobs? Or is that what your mother calls you? What an incestuous piece of shit.

By chance have things changed any in the Indian Head subdivision? The home prices seem reasonable, and as a single person I like having my lawn maintained? Would someone fill me in on what I could expect for my monthly fee? Does it include anything like exterior maintenance? Also, I heard someone mention that they do not maintain the roads? I could concur with that statement based on what I saw while driving through the area. Any chance they are planning on making any improvements to the roads? As far as the drama I feel comfortable in my ability to avoid that. I did have a concern about a boarded up home. What is that about?

The boarded up home is more than likely a meth house closed by the sheriff's department. Most of the rest of the trash you read is more than likely true. I have heard that you can get anything you want there, meth, any kind of pills, pot and especially aids. It is a favorite hunting ground to these items and most of it is pretty good, not cut down to the bone.

Indian Head is a great place to live if you make it. As with any neighborhood, you will have troublemakers. Thankfully, Indian Head doesn't have many. The people who complain about Indian Head are the ones who are cause the problems. Mostly, people keep to themselves and the drama is minimum. The pool is a plus and having the park, tennis court, and other recreational areas are a great bonus. The streets aren't filled with drugs, as suggested by previous reviewers. The $75 a month pays for the lawn service, trash pick-up, snow removal in the winter, use of the pool, and other maintenance. The streets are currently being repaved.
