I dont understand why they dont just condemn this whole area. There are nothing there but skanks and druggies. Get off the welfare and drugs and get out of the "projects"!(I know it isnt the projects but it has the same kind of people)

I agree! That area should be condemned and rebuilt. And make all those "druggies and skanks" clean up their act or get out.

I have lived for years in this area. There are some fine people living in these neighborhoods with good income. Paying taxes and supporting those that are too lazy to work.

Growing up, that was where wanna-be gangstas would threaten to drive you out to end your life.

Outside of a trailer park or two most residence own there own home and aren't on welfare. There was really cool people that lived out there in the 80s and early 90s, most were popular in high school, sure isn't what it use to be. There were some really good parties out there back in the day.

If you are one of the "fine" people living out there then why dont you clean up your neighborhood and get rid of the crackheads and dope dealers. I wouldnt let my dog live in that part of town.

I wouldnt be telling people that you live there, its not something to be proud of. Also, why dont you clean up your property. The homes there look like dump yards

If you are so smart, please tell us how to get rid of crackheads and drug dealers. They seem to be in every neighborhood these days.

My property looks just fine .. probably better than yours. I have no control over the entire neighborhood. Are you honestly saying that there are not trashy people in your neighborhood. There are meth houses in South Hills, Teays Valley, Cross Lanes ...

Apparently you are part of the trash that lives there. Why would you choose to live in an area that is infested with druggies? Maybe if you tried to clean up your home and yard it would catch on and start turning in the drug dealers or would that mean turning in yourself and your family?

I doubt yours looks just fine if you live there as there is not one house out there that looks like it doesnt need to be condemned or has a yard full of junk and trash. Definitely not better than mine as I live in a very nice subdivision. I am not saying there are not meth houses in those areas but the people dont let it take over the entire area like the trash in your area.

My place appraised for $255,000 .... apparently you are so loaded when you drive out that way, you only see the trash you are looking for.

Too funny! I dont do drugs, it is beneath me. You might want to have it reappraised as there is nothing out there worth $10000 unless maybe the appraiser took into account all the junk you have in your yard.

I will take my place over any house in a subdivision. No judgemental crazy neighbor like you have in your subdivision. There are some run down homes around us but mostly occupied by very old people that have lived there forever. If you are so concerned about the appearance, you should be a good samaritan and offee to help them get it cleaned up.

The whole town of SA is littered with trash to include in city limits. People of SA take pride in this town and if you see trash pick it up. I know the elected officials of SA see the same trash. What are they going to do about it? Take the Mayors pay raise and use it for area beautification.

Are u that stupid, honestly? There are several homes out there that are worth far more than 100k.

I am sure they do if you consider the junk in the yard or the meth lab in the basement. Yea, right!

Clean Up or Get Out, really.... You're making Winfield look narrow-minded and stupid.

I was looking to buy a house about 8 years ago, and I drove up Hampshire Drive once and said, "no way"!!!
Justme, If you've been there a long time, I can understand it. I believe you probably do have a nice place. But you have to know how unappealing the neighborhood is, all in all. I don't know whose problem that is, precisely.

Silly Boys,
I do agree with you. I have a really nice place and wish others around me kept their property up. Not feasible to move out of a neighbor because of others during this economy. If I was looking to move somewhere .. I would not move this way.
