LEGAL...that is the key word. Our country is already overpopulated, we don't need more people, especially needy people living here. We need to take care of our Veterans and Seniors first. Seems like there is always something more important that takes precedence, and I am sick of it.
I am trying to figure out why you are so anti-US and so pro-globalism because it does not make sense. And no, it isn't obvious, that is why I am asking. I am giving you the opportunity to speak for yourself so I don't have to make any assumptions. Most military are proud of their jobs, their country, and their future. I don't find those qualities in you. I am trying to give you the benefit of the doubt somehow, but I have nothing to base it on.
More taxes? Wouldn't it make more sense to cut the pork in Washington and to reallocate those funds to fuel research? Then, we can rid ourselves of those pesky illegals. In doing so, we can cut costs on law enforcement, court costs, transportation costs, wear and tear to public spaces, healthcare, education etc...maybe even pay down the deficit and secure social security. Doesn't it make you angry that they are considering giving social security to illegals? They are already voting here without legal citizenship...what next? They already have a sense of entitlement and continue to make demands. Bush wants to give them amnesty, and they have the nerve to "boo" Miss USA when she was in Mexico. For people who want a favor, their technique sucks! What on earth will happen once they get real power? Oh...I know, it's called Aztlan.

Why are you in favor of Mexico dictating our laws? They live in a lawless society, yet expect the utmost respect here. It is a joke. The cartel runs everything, the people are puppets in their own country, and their government provides books on how to come into the US illegally. The mexican police wait in "the corridor" and make illegals pay an entrance fee into the US. Smugglers bring tons of illegal drugs into the US making all of us more vulnerable. Smugglers rape women, kill crying children and babies, and leave others for dead in the seering heat or the freezing cold. There is gun warfare on our highways as smugglers fight for each other's cargo, and many smugglers drive on the wrong side of the road in hopes of evading police. As a result, innocent US familes are dying...because of you, and people like you, who condone this behavior. Our deserts look like trash dumps, destroying everything in it's path: clothes, backpacks, human waste, sanitary pads, medicine, feces, plastic bags and food wrappers. Do you go out there to pick all of this stuff up? Not only does it destroy the environment but it oftentimes makes our livestock ill or die. Do you want this in your food chain? Chagas, brain worms, TB, leprosy...diseases most of us are not familiar with. People with these illnesses come into our country and then pick crops, crap in our fields with our food...sometimes bloody fecal matter...sometimes they make our food at restaurants. Mmm...now that sounds good doesn't it? Like it or not, their cultural standard is lower than ours. They are not meticulous about washing their hands. Think about that the next time you eat out. They are more liberal about violence and crime. They cannot help it, it is their standard. They have tabloids that speak about bloody cartel killings...it is a way of life. I don't want that here.

It isn't a suprise that we have very little assets here. We are quick to sell off our real estate, our infrastructure and outsource our jobs. Globalism is on the rise, and we are now seeing the demise of America by catering to nations who cannot even fend for themselves. We are handing our power over to China and Mexico, and are indirectly catering to Islam in fear of not being politically correct.
Darfur...we have no business there what-so-ever. They are having a civil war, and if we have no business in the middle east, then we really should not be involved there. Hollywood is playing a dangerous game by getting involved in politics. They blindly provide millions of dollars to corrupt goverments, and very little of that money is ever seen by the intended target. No one makes them accountable. As a result, we have see such money end up in terrorists hands. Didn't you say that we have no business interferring in other government's business? Then why control arms? We don't want drugs here, but Mexico justifies it by saying there is a "need" for drugs. Well, I am sure there is a need for arms also. Right?

Boy, you are stupid! They were called illegal immigrants as long as I can remember and that was pre-1986.
Really, well I have lived ON the border for over 50 years... You may have called them illegal but 99% were legal including your ancestors.... You may want to THINK before you call someone stupid! MILLIONS flowed into and out of this country for hundreds of years... yes America has imposed limits at different points. Like when "we" put the Japanese-Americans in concentration camps during the second world war, and cancelled all visas! I said before on this post... When we limit the number of low-wage visas to 5000 per year, we are asking for trouble! Like the Governor of AZ said, "show me a 40' wall and I'll show you a 41' ladder." maybe we should figure out a real border policy, before the Border issues ruin our country... one final thought: Did you know that Micheal Chertoff has the power to "suspend ALL laws" because of the real-ID act? How long are we going to let politicians ruin our constitution because of our fear? The real-ID was passed to deal with "border security"

How many immigration bills have passed into law? how many times have INS, Border Patrol, and DHS changed their policies... there are even different policies for different sectors on the border... As for population, the average birth rate for Americans is 1.6 per household, and maybe you have forgotten but baby-boomers are about to retire? Do you really think that 30% of our population can take care of 70% of the population with all the other things they have to deal with? Mexico and Mexicans in the US already produce most of our food, cook most of our non-home-cooked meals and other jobs that Americans will not do for those wages! The only reason to keep them illegal is to suppress their wages and rights as PEOPLE! like I said before, if you make all of them Illegal then only criminals will come!

I think one of the reasons that we see things so differently is that you live in a rural area, and I live near a large city. We have two different sets of problems, and I see a huge change in our city and the surrounding 'burbs because there is a large concentration of people. There are Mexican flags all over the place, bumper stickers, decals...music blaring!! Our stores have signs in English and Spanish. I moved last year out of what was once a great neighborhood. I grew up in this area...it is sad that I have to leave. The Latin Kings are putting graffiti all over the place, the area is getting run down, and we even had a drive by in our neighborhood!!! What in the heck! These people live like animals! If you go to a fast food place, you have to repeat your order 3 or 4 times because they have problems with English. You have to count your change because they don't know how to make proper change. I asked a lady the other day to count the change that I gave her, just to make sure I didn't short change her. She looked at it, like she didn't know where to start, and flagged me on. I have also seen many freebies given from one Mexican to another. They take care of their own...we pay for the theft. Our school district has to hire special teachers for the "non-English" speaking students. Guess who pays for that? Maybe you don't see these kinds of problems, but for those of us that do, it is frustrating. These problems may not seem like much to you, but when you get so many people together in a close space, things become very obvious, and very heated. They blow stop signs, don't abide by traffic rules, and drink and drive. Our police blotter is filled with Hispanic names all of the time. Coincidence?

Either the longest newspaper you can find, or 9 or 10 versions of the same story on the Internet, preferably from non-agenda websites.

Unfortunately this is all too true. We need to remember illegal is still illegal. A major problem is within our whining, finger-pointing, morally defficient and overpaid legal system where no one is ever at fault. It is ALWAYS SOME ONE ELSE'S FAULT and there's always lawyers ready to take up the shout. Middle Class LEGAL working Americans need to shout loud enough to be heard, because while we're working and supporting the rest of the country, the fox is in the henhouse stealing the eggs! Let ALL illegals follow the laws as they are now, just as the rest of us, including our immigrant ancestors have had to do. Would there be such a debate as this in Mexico??? Go there and see how they treat US, and you'll come back with a different attitude!

Newspapers are slanted. The internet is the only place that anyone can get the truth, or at least more insight on any topic. I am quite content on my sources of information, but I thought I'd give you a chance to make a suggestion. I have talked with people all over the United States, and one thing is clear. Ilegal is illegal, and they are causing trouble. If I am not breaking the law, I will not condone others doing it either, We all have the choice.

Finally, someone else saying what I've been saying all along...that Mexico would never treat us the same way that we treat them, in fact they usually treat us like crap unless they are trying to get $$$$ from us!

Your ancestors didn't have to follow about half of the laws because they weren't written yet! But you don't have to worry about laws for too much longer because, starting on the border and moving northward quickly is MARTIAL LAW... Yes, that's right. Between the Patriot act and the Real-ID act the President, vice President and the Secretary of Homeland Defense, now have the power to "waive ALL laws" of the United States, and Micheal Chertoff has signed a waiver in the federal register... you figure out what's more important, our whole system of government and rights, or a couple of bucks worth of horribly overpriced medical care!
