When President Barack Obama spoke in Arizona recently, OUR white enemies made their presence known in a very obvious threatening manner! This is one more reason why WE RAZA must be prepared and take a selfdefense posture against these armed vigilantes!
It's has been already DOCUMENTED how these white power adherents have attacked and even murdered many of OUR Brown people on a nationwide scale!
Arizona RAZA! YOU too have that right to LEGALLY arm yourselves in Arizona, therefore YOU must take a selfdefense posture and arm yourselves for the INEVITABLE! OUR white racist enemies are growing in numbers, SO MUST WE!

Protect the border from true danger. Terrorists. Drug Dealers. Contamination.

The Illegals, although problematic to some, are not the biggest worry. We have an illegal situation. Give them temp. residency. Tax them. Fine them for 2-3 yrs with a tax rate that is 10-15% higher than std. residents.

Moving forward, setup the borders like military zones (ref. North/South Korea). Use force to make the point that you are serious.

Make American owned maquiladoras pay wages comparable to those that factories in the US pay. Keep American companies from paying less than comparable wages to employees, whether they work in Mexico or China.

Put together a public option for healthcare that addresses all legal residents. Don't go nuts with it. People who already have insurance can continue to pay for what they have. A national option addresses primarily those with no care or under-insurance.

Legalize drugs in the US. This will also address some of the illegal issues. Make it legal, tax it, let American legitimate businesses make money. Take away the large luster of money making that currently comes with that job.

Reduce the size of gov't by simply using common sense. Reduced # of illegals requires less border patrol agents. Legalization of drugs requires less customs, ATF, etc. agents. National healthcare ensures that we are paying what is happening today, today. Paying comparable wages to US wages will keep people in their countries.

We keep trying to make this ROCKET SCIENCE, when in reality, all it takes is for politicians to grow a pair of balls and make laws that make sense to the country. They lack the ability to ACT on anything. They figure that as long as they ride the middle, they get the maximum amount of votes, while having to do or deliver nothing. The RIGHT, The LEFT. These are just there to get you all going so that things don't ever change.

Republicans gotta stop blaming Obama for everyting. We lost because we had an idiot in office and we went down the wrong road. We forgot that it is WE THE PEOPLE. Instead of trashing, trashing and more trashing of Democrats, we need to not only trash, but tell them how to do it. We are not making friends or gaining ground by simply saying that the Democrats are idiots. If they are idiots, lets tell them why and how we would fix the problem if we were in charge.

PEACE!

The boot, great post, so many of us think the same as you, it's the idiots on the far right and left that scream the loudest and rule and govern by fear.

Until more republicans consider a change to the war on drugs, I'm done voting for them, I've been a life long republican. Our country is going to become a very unsafe place to live in the not so near future, due to Mexico's drug war which spills further north of the border daily. All because our elected officials won't sit down for a serious discussion on our 40 year war on drugs. Taking the regulation from the black-market and treating drug abuse as a health issue instead of a criminal issue. It is seven times cheaper to send a person to rehabilitation, then it is incarcerate him. Prohibition didn't work for alcohol, the Budweiser and Coors guys don't sell beers on the street corners and parks, nor do they shoot at each other. If a child tries to buy alcohol, he gets carded, not so with the street drug dealers. By legalizing marijuana alone, the bad guys would have 80% less funds, to do the bad things they do.

We are aligned Ted G. I've been a Rep. for as long as I can remember. I have lost all faith in this party. I also have no faith in the other ones either. It's easy for these to promise stuff and very hard for delivery. Assuming they want to deliver. They are perfectly happy keeping us divided. The word bi-partisan implies that people are willing to work together toward a common good, I think. There's bi-partisan talk. There is not bi-partisan action.

The far right and the far left have to pull their heads out of their other opening. Nothing can be solved with extreme views. You either learn to negotiate or you do nothing. It is a give and take. These guys like to take. Giving is not a virtue they have.

Sure would be nice to have more people within this community involved in speaking out.

Let's discuss what Bud and Coors really do. They donate millions to La Raza. Yes, they sponsored the marches that the illegals had, and they sponsor all of their other activities. They advertise in Spanish and on all the Spanish channels. So if you've ever wondered why the illegals and their supporters can accomplish so much and where the support/money comes from, look no farther than Bud, Coors, and Miller.

Special interest money rules our country, thru lobbyists and under the table back office meetings and deals. The average voter has no control anymore in regards to politics, it's all bought and paid for by big business. I wasn't defending the beer companies, just stating that a regulation model similar to theirs would make more sense then the current black-market regulation for most drugs. I think we need to outlaw special interest and big business money from driving our politics. I do believe most politicians get into it with our best interests in mind, but the pressure from the business world ends up ruling the day.

I agree with everything you said. It seems the middle sways the elections every time, it just depends on which side scared the voters the most to get them on their side. A new 3rd party that falls right smack in the middle, and negotiates with both sides would be a start, a party that doesn't allow lobbying or special interest donations. But how can you beat the left or right when they take in all that special interest money for campaigns? You can't, and that is just how they want to keep it.

Special interests are at fault for nearly everything wrong in America. Illegal immigration, the housing collapse, the drug war, all of the jobs lost to China and elsewhere, the health care system, the list goes on.

Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg address said it best, "and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth". He didn't say anything about big business being in there.

So, rather than side with any of the sides or the middle. We need to take back Gov't for the people by the people. We need to stop listening to the right wing, left wing radio shows. Start thinking for ourselves. Imagine that. Thinking.

One additional comment to my original ranting was that we need to limit all public offices to 1 term each. Allowing more than 1 term per office allows for too much breeding of corruption and unethical behavior.

When will the madness Stop! We need to Secure the Border and let ICE do their JOB and DEPORT all these poor illegal immigrants back to whatever country they came FROM. CONFISCATE ALL their WORLDLY POSSESSIONS and Sale their Possessions at Public Auction and use the Money to Help Deport more of these poor illegal immigrants Back to their Homeland Broke. That way it will discourage their Homeland People not to come to United States without PROPER PAPERS.

Thosteenez,

I think the preference is that you hire expensive and unwilling workers. That's a much better way to run businesses. Didn't you know that? Take notes and learn from GM and Chrysler.

Well, it's obvious that you are not open minded enough to accept the fact that you can get much more done with expensive, over-priced labor that doesn't really want to work over under-paid workers who need money and want to work.

Just look around you. People going on strike left and right because 10-15/hr is not good enough.

While you are at it. Throw in healthcare benefits, paid time off, sick leave and whatever else makes you less efficient and effective.

Yes, I know what you both mean. I am from Arizona. I actually met John McCain at NAU's Arizona Boys State when I was in high school. I voted Republican in 2000 and 2004. But I didn't even vote this past year.

The border situation between Arizona and Mexico is tough, and the issue goes back a long time. I grew up in Arizona with many Mexican Americans - real US Citizens who were born here. They were real Americans. But the issue with illegal aliens overwhelms the healthcare system. They don't often have insurance, so it just becomes a nightmare in the ER. I know because I studied public health in graduate school, which is also why I didn't vote for McCain. But I didn't vote for Obama either. It seems like moderates from either party don't have a candidate they sincerely want to vote for.

My aunt and her children were stopped by border patrol north of Tucson. It was a blatant case of racial profiling. The border patrol did not know we are Native Americans born on an Arizona reservation with many family members who served in the US Military. That border patrol was bigoted in that case. My grandfather is a WWII Veteran, and his brother served at Iwo Jima. One of my friends died in the Gulf War. He was a US Marine trained at Camp Pendleton. The US Military recruits a lot of soldiers from the reservations to defend the US Constitution. Many of the reservation families have US Veterans, especially USMC - Semper Fi!

So, what did you do about getting harrassed for your color?

None of these politicians are interested in defending your rights or any one elses. The prime interest is to defend the rights of those who run things.

How many of the wars of the last few years have been for freedom? Oil? Opium?

Daily Horoscope for November 29

Sagittarius

Pay attention to your health as the Moon enters Taurus and your sixth house of health and service today; it might be time for a check up. With Neptune and Jupiter in your third house, nervous tension could be leading you into bad habits that will undermine your health. If you feel stressed out, reach for your athletic shoes instead of a double martini and you'll be happy with the results.
