Gee's Bend Hits Boise

This fall, Boise has been bitten hard by the Gee's Bend bug. On Oct. 10, Boise Art Museum unveiled its newest exhibit, "A Survey of Gee's Bend Quilts," and on Oct.

I have attended many quilt shows aroung the country. When I first stepped into the Museum and looked at the Gee's quilts, without knowing the history, I thought they were perhaps the ugliest quilts I had ever seen. After hearing the story of these stong women, they were magically transformed into beautiful works of art. Thanks BAM for bringing them to Boise.
