I guess if we were one of the trees rooted too close to the road near where he's moving we'd care.

True we really don't care where he lives and also they make such a big fuss about these people they think they are higher than god, well they are not, and also they really need to realize they are just average people with a little talent. Remember he's a drop out. Just lucky because of his natural talent

You have to admit one thing,Billy Joel is a down to earth guy, and doesn't flaunt anything. If the public knows he bought another house, it surely isn't because he called the media and told them. And he may be a "drop out" but he took his God given talent and turned it into a mega life. So what ? would you prefer his sponging off the public assistance rolls ? Billy Joel is a born and bred L. I. guy, appreciate it.

If no one cares, then why take the time to read the article and post?

A Long Island guy and down to earth, yes-AND he hasn't dialed in his career by doing the commercial route to line his pockets. His last commercial album(cd)was The Bridge-yes? That was 1992, 15 years ago. His concerts are packed and he loves an audience. But he has kept us on the musical map for a long time whereas Taking Back Sunday, Eddie Money and Blue Oyster Cult barely get a mention.

A lot of people posting "who cares", but they still read the article, didn't they. With all the crap going on, it's nice to read a story just about the mundane, no blood, guts, murder or mayhem. Glad Billy Joel is staying on Long Island. He's a Long Island icon and it's nice to claim him as our own. AND, he can still belt out a tune like nobody's business.

I saw him in Orlando a couple of months ago and his voice was as strong as ever, and he is funny and entertaining. His show was tight as was his showmanship.

Hey, I happen to care and know him. He's a nice, down to earth person who has been misrepresented in the press -BIG TIME! Don't always believe everything you read. He is normal, just like the rest of us, and made money off his talent. So he can buy a big house. He doesn't flaunt it, the press does. He has a very talented daughter who is down-to-earth as a result of his influence as a father. Again, don't believe everything you read.

Glad my children will now be safe with this guy's DWIs occurring further east of us - in the Hamptons where the police condoone it and driver's licenses stick like horse glue. Too bad, these rich guys dont do something more useful with the monies they seem to like to accumulate.
