Yeah, all Elmont needs is another gambling institution which generates income without supporting the community.
Oh and adds to the traffic congestion, pollution, overcrowding, and lack of respect to the residents.
How about making the LIRR station at Belmont open year round. It only opens for the Belmont stakes.

The expansion of gambling at Belmont Park will not yield economic development as some would think. It would increase the burden of the local infrastructure as well as increase the tax burden and detoriate the quality of life, in addition to the value of homes.
The LIRR station, once was open full time, and part of a community transportation hub. No reason, to have the train and park closed during the off-season summer months.
