Did you know that the President of the United States claims the right under the Military Commissions Act of 2006 to suspend Habeus Corpus, even for American citizens, at his sole discretion?
Did you know that on several instances American Citizens seeking to excercise their first Amendment right to Freedom of Expression at Bush/Cheney events have been detained, arrested and charged by the Secret Service for various contrived offenses.
Did you know that Blackwater U.S.A. the military contractor, maintains the largest private military base in U.S. history - it is located in North Carolina - and is the largest Mercenary force in the history of the world! It claims exemption from prosecution for crimes committeed by its "employees" in Iraq - even murder, yet it was hired by the Pentagon and is paid for with U.S. tax dollars.
Did you know that, with military bases in 128 of the 205 countries of the world, the U.S. has more overseas bases than the British did at the height of their "Empire."
Did you know that the term "Heroes" being employed by the Bush Adminisration to describe the fallen U.S. soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, is the same exact term used by the Soviet "Evil Empire" to describe their fallen soldiers?
Did you know that the only U.S. Presidential candidate with the position of "Bring Them Home Now" is a Republican congressman from Texas, Ron Paul? All the others forsee an extended committment or are fudging all over the place.
Has another soldier died in vain, defending an adminisration that is in the midst of a fascist shift, with increasing features of Nazi Germany, Mussolini's Italy, Franco's Spain, Pinochet's Chile, Castro's Cuba and the Soviet Union's totalitarianism. I'm afriad the answer is yes.
Ever wonder why Bush wants to keep the U.S. military overseas? Perhaps for the same reason Hussein liked to keep his outside of Baghdad. Because they just might be used to bring his adminisrtation down!
Bring the troops home and restore the Promise of American Life!

Did you know Nazi Germany doctrine referred to the expansion of the Fatherland? That the Soviet Union doctrine referred to the expansion of the Motherland?

Show me one, any one of the founding fathers, or any U.S. President since, right up until but not including George W. Bush, who ever referred to the United States of America as the Homeland!

Fascism NO. Democracy YES.

Semper Fi! Don't go overseas, we need you here at home protecting the Bill of Rights, or perhaps you haven't read them lately, if ever.

Share sadness? Yea right.
LCpl. Jordan Haerter was a Marine. He was 19 years old and died only a days in country. Let me tell you something about Jordan.

As Jordan was standing guard at the checkpoint, a truck approached. His battle buddy ordered the vehicle to stop, and instead...it lurched forward towards his fellow Marines. LCpl. Haerter threw his teammate down, and opened fire on the vehicle...killing the suicide-bomber and placing himself in harms way. The truck detonated and killed him, but he saved the lives of his brothers-in-arms through his actions. LCpl. Haerter made a choice, knowing full well the consequences of his actions might result in his death...

So while you're talking about the meaninglessness of his death, there are a team of Marines that owe their lives to him and will never forget his sacrifice so that they could live. BTW...the family of the Marine he threw to the ground came all the way up from Georgia to pay their respects.

Although I was in the Army, I feel the loss of a fellow brother-in-arms. May you rest in peace Jordan, your fight is over.

My sincerest and deepest condolences are with the Haerter family. While looking at the pictures, my heart was breaking. The pictures of the children lined up at the church and the elderly veterans saluting this young hero were especially powerful. May Jordan rest in peace with the angels. Thank you for your service, you will never be forgotten.

Wow, I thought we did this because we missed the old skyline.....here is a plan.....go to the pier....there is Lady Liberty to help you return to your HOMELAND.....make sure you bring all proof from the idiot relative that signed into this country......way back when lots of mistakes were made....isn't mistakes and demands all part of wars? I want, you want...someone else wants and instead of playing nice we fight...like now....you hate America but live here.....there is no law stating you have to stay, by all means...bend over lady liberty has to guide you home.

Hey Mack - take your politics somewhere else. This is purely about a young man who saw his duty and did, and gave his all in doing so. He didn't care that in doing so, it would allow a bottom feeding s c u m like yourself a platform to sling vile s/h/i/t from your mouth because he made the ultimate sacrafice so you could.

A real man would become an agent for change, rather than hiding behind a computer and spewing filth. How about a nice tall glass of shut the fcuk up? But then again, if you were a real man, you'd know not to make such a comment at such a solemn loss.

Maple Avenue in Rockville Centre - I run every morning if you want come take it up with me. Tell you what, bring that jizzack ass from Manhasset with you and we'll make it a two for one special on the beatdowns.

Retired, you are 100% correct. This young man gave his life so that dirt bags like Mack can spew hate and stupidity on an internet site without repercussions. How dispicable that this moron chose a message board honoring this brave Marine to further his own political agenda and stupidity. Only a coward sits anonymously behind a keyboard and disgraces our fallen heroes.

God Bless you Lance Cpl. Jordan Haerter. Your country is proud of you and our thoughts and prayers go out to your family.
