What kind of society have we become that we seek to justify strip searching thirteen year old kids? Is this how low we will go as a people? And what are we teaching our kids? That the government has unlimited power to invade our persons? Do we really want to raise a generation that thinks it's ok for a government official to order something as invasive as a strip search just on one person's say so? And what of the rights of parents? Should not a child's parent have the last word? Would it not be more appropriate to detain the child until the parent could come to school and talk to the school principal? If the Supreme Court upholds this then we are not worthy of our heritage.
