I lived in safford for the first twelve years of my life. I often think about the times I had there, thankfully I still have photos to look at.

I remember when G.G.s Pizza first opened, how exciting the game room was, wasn't really into the carousel. Is it still open?
I remember Rainbow Pharmacy and Baby World and how a handful of change could buy a ton of candy there.
I remember having cook outs at the fair grounds and exploring the park.
I rememeber teachers, Mrs. Gail, Mrs. Brown, Mr. Warren, Mr, Hunt, Mr. Willis.

I haven't been back in years, I need to visit again.

I moved here when I turned twelve in 2001. None of those businesses still exist. I think they've all been replaced.

Rainbow was leveled and JoJo and Jake built the new Thriftee over it years ago. GG's, sheesh...I almost forgot about it. It's long gone. The fairgrounds are falling apart, and the park has an upgraded pool. If you want to know about Safford news, then go read the Courier. Remember it? Still around. http://eacourier.com/

Safford is a city of about 10,000 people. We're located between the Sonoran and Chihuahuan deserts. Safford is the county seat of Graham County (population: 33,480). Safford has a moderately-low crime rate with burglaries and drug offenses being the most common. The city lies at the base of the 10,720-foot Mount Graham, home to several observatories, including the world's largest binocular telescope.

Safford is approximately 80 miles from Tucson and 145 miles from the state's capital, Phoenix.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Taurus

Make a big effort to spend time with people you didn't see on Christmas Day, especially if they're older than you or are having a bad time at the moment. You're brimming over with compassion and empathy, which will be really appreciated by anyone who's on the receiving end of them. You're also in the mood to make allowances for people, and that will help enormously.
