I think that its a debate of whether to punish the drug addicts/ dealers, or try to help treat their addiction. Each one costs us money somehow, someway. I know that its true what was said about personal use, that is very possible between two ppl especially. My brother was a bad addict, and although it wasn't heroin, it was a combination of cocaine, marijuana, xanax, steroids, alcohol, oxyconton and anything else he could use. It was an every day routine of those things all day long. I believe in rehab, but not sure everyone can make it, or has the want to do so. And there must be consequences for our actions, not to be judge and jury, but sometimes, its those consequences that makes a person look at themself and say.. WHAT THE HECK AM I DOING!... I believe that once a person wants to get better, they will be able to in time. And there will always be those who plain and simple DO NOT WANT TO BE HELPED. As a parent, I do not wish to see my children in a situation like that, but having gone through so much with my brother, I know letting the law do its job is a huge part of the way it has to be. I think you all seem to have great points here, and somewhere in the middle, you agree to disagree.
