I strongly support the 1st amendment but when your freedom of speech brings hurt upon another they too have rights that should be protected.

The 1st Amendment SHOULD be protected at ANY cost!...we have the right to say what we want...you may disagree with what is said and that is YOUR right...for we all have the right to disagree...however, just because a person feels "hurt" does NOT mean that the 1st Amendment should be QUASHED...in any way, shape or form...let this couple sue whomever they want to...but the judge AND the law should NOT violate the CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS of the AMERICAN PEOPLE!...EVER!!!
ANYONE who SAYS they support the 1st Amendment "but" does NOT truly support the 1st Amendment!...there is NO ROOM for "but"!!!

In law enforcement there is always room for "but". Sabinal PD is correct. The lies you spread hurt people's reputations and this is a small town. What about those people's rights? Every American citizen has the right to free speech, but when your right to free speech infringes on another person's rights then thats where the buck stops.
