Affairs in Sabetha

Has anyone else noticed all of the affairs that happen in this small town of Sabetha? Every time I turn around someone else is getting caught fooling around. It seems that most of these people are fairly religous people too. Doesn't make much sense to me.

I don't really want to put names on here as that is crossing the line. It just seems that there are quite a few affairs happening all of the time, and when they do, it almost always involves someone who is religious and very involved in the church. It just makes me wonder what goes through these peoples minds when they have an affair, and then go to church with their family the same week.

you are so right sabetha isnt a goody two shoes like people think it is there a lot of stuff going on in this town it is just all cover up it is a small town like a lot of towns it has problems not a perfect town by all means

There are a lot affairs going on not just in Sabetha but all over Sabetha is not the perfect little town it has it's problems like every town big or small it just seems worse in a small town because everyone knows everyone. I dont think there are more of them things just are not getting coverd up like they use to years ago.

affairs are not the only thing the good church people of Sabetha are up to & I think it is high time they start paying for there mistakes just like everyone else. They are not better then anyone else just because they go to any one church.

Have heard by the grapevine- clergy has been involved-- how pathetic. Great example for youth, or anyone else for that matter.

Just gets worse! IT is a tragedy for all the families involved. Know some of them- no one should be treated like this.

I cannot believe my ears and eyes. Yes I fell for his lies as well and had an affair..imagine how I felt when he told me he was a pastor...Not only unfaithful to his wife but his "misstresses" as well..how low can one person go.

I know of a lady from Sabetha that had an affair awhile back for a fact b/c i seen her walking with a younger guy at the Lake in Hiawatha and things that go on at a lake when you are alone. I don't need to give details. I am not the only one that seen it. Make a person sick how she could live like that and knowing she is/was married. I can't imagine what she has to live with in her own heart for the rest of her life. That is so sick. And she is suppose to be a little miss perfect church woman that does no wrong. I think I would jump in some water if I ever did that to my spouse.

It happens more often than you might think. Hiawatha lake is kind of out in the open too and close to town. Not sure why you would go there. I take it she was not from Hiawatha?

She worked in Hiawatha and lives around the Sabetha area.

The guy she was with was from Falls city.

Sometimes people want to be seen in this situation. It is the 3rd phase of a troubled marriage... Its a serious cry for help and attention. However being out in the open is better than behind closed doors... Thats step 4

This is why I dislike most people. They preach and teach one thing and do the other. It just amazes me how they think they are better than everyone else and then act this way. It seems like women are just as likely if not more likely to cheat than men, based on the numbers I've seen around this area. I'm sure there are hundreds that no one knows about either.

As humans, we all are just seeking love and acceptance.
Its a shame that that can not be found at home.

There are also many times we think that people think they are better than us yet most of the time its not the case.. Its our own insecurities.
If you know this person well enough to talk about on topix,, could you offer her some support or direction? Wouldnt that be the thing to do?

Teaching and preaching is just that nothing more.
Even doctors, cops, teachers etc... dont live buy the things they preach daily.
