I have found it very difficult in today's world to get my next position. Although I need to work and have no intentions of retiring, I am finding it very hard to find a job in marketing and sales. What makes matters worse are these on-line applications or third party vendors that are used to gather all of the information prior to even getting in the door. I know many would like to believe that age is not the reason, but for myself, my resume was actually pulled up three times by three different HR personnel for the same job. After interviewing I was told the job was filled within two days. A month later they were still looking for the position and I was still getting calls. After each of them I was then told my background did not fit. Go figure.
