Tops with spaghetti straps are out. So are short shorts. With warm weather approaching, principals of Central and Western Middle schools recently sent home reminders to parents about the dress code, requiring ...

It's about time school officials act like they are in charge. It's not just the students that dress as harlots, look at the teachers. Many of the them look refugees from a Hawaiian tropic advertisement. The students whine and proclaim it's not fair to impose rules pertaining to clothing. Poor little rich tarts. Don't fret students, it's still ok to bring in a jar of Grey Poupon.

"Sexually Provocative" is in the mind of the beholder. This article focuses just on infractions by girls.(It neglects to mention the boys who wear caps in class, for example, and are disciplined.) We are talking about adolescent girls, who just want to fit in with their peers. Please don't demonize young women any more than they already have been by our society. Just because some girls might wear clothing which doesn't meet the school dress code, does not make them sexual predators. Enforce the rules, but don't judge the motivation of a girl who wears Soffe shorts.

No one even gets in trouble if they were shorts that are too short, so this article doesn't phase me at all. Ms. Gross wears tops with her cleavage hanging out and super tight skirts and she expects us to follow the dress code? Yeah, right. Also, my friend got in trouble for wearing a tank top that was "cut too low" and the next day a different girl wore it with no comments. What kind of dress code is that? Get your facts straight, people.

Back in my day, Ms. King would drag you into the bathroom and make you scrub your face of all makeup and send you home for the day if your skirt or shorts were too short or anything was too tight.

Learning how to dress for a job is part of an education and obviously today's youth need to learn this lesson unless they are planning on working at Hooters or hang out at the local bar all day swapping stories about the good all days. Impressions are everything and no one wants to see your rear end or anything else on a daily basis.

Hey Mad Mom, I mean Stepford wife, wake up! You want your daughter to be treated as an equal to males and you allow her to dress as if she's meeting "client 9." It's hideous the many(not all)young females attire themselves as an aspiring strumpet. Again, it's the continuation of the dumming down society and the nit wit parents that plan their day around "dancing with stars" rather than act like a parent and instill a little discipline. Most of these rubes just want to "friends" with their kids.
Hey Mom, how is dinner coming along?

This type of provocative dress is directly related to increasing teen STDs and pregnancies! I'm glad someone is finally drawing the line.
