What are some Holiday Traditions you remember?
Maybe family gatherings, certain foods, memories
with past loved ones.

I remember my Grandmother's pumpkin pie. About this time of year she would call our house and tell my Mother to let me walk to her house. I knew when that call came that she had been baking. That has been many, many years ago, but I can still smell those pies, if I close my eyes. We had a very large family, but I always had my very own pumpkin pie, she knew how much I loved them.
So many memories were and are made at this time of year. I miss my Grandparents, but most of all I miss my Dad. He loved this time of year and kept the joy and wonder of a small child even in his senior years.
Thanks for posting this and making us stop and remember fond times. The memories are sometimes bittersweet, but I wouldn't trade a one of them.

Your welcome Oak Tree & I enjoyed reading your post.
Where I grew up, there was always so much snow around the Hollidays. We had snowmobiles and boy us kids sure had fun playing on them in the snow. My grandma also always had the best food cooked and I miss her dearly also. As kids, we love our grandparents but we just don't truly realize their worth until we get older.=(
