Short Mountain in Mooresburg is on fire, not too far from Short Mtn. Trucking.

this fire is a lot worse than thought. Its over 4 miles long, and goes from one foothill to the next, covering the top and bottom of the hills. For 4 miles last night, the whole drive down 11w towards Lakeview grocery, was glowing red. I'm very nervous.

I know we were coming back from morristown and it was really smokey. I was wondering what was going on. Is the fire under control?

I dont think its controlled...but is being watched. We went out to check it out today and saw forestry guys with a dozer going in, so maybe they're doing fire lines, etc..

New fire on mountian near the gap off Hwy 11E... Ilive on Boatman's mountian in Hamblen County.. Seems it started on the mountain top and the fire is working it's way downhill. With the fire in Mooresburg and now his one... it seems we have an arsonist.

I know where I live the fire is right behind my house at this point. We aren't in any danger, but it is a concern for sure. it is funny, that a small fire in Cherokee made the news, but not a single mention of this one...

We live on Steve Brown Rd and it's still smokey. We went past by Bean Station fire dept and no cars were there so they might got it under controlled. I was a fireman for 10 years and just moved to Bean Station last year.
