When are we gonna get some new coaches? Briscoe dont know anything but run it up the middle . Finchum needs to stick to teaching he is a product of mark hammer. And sands he played for ut he guarded the water on the bench. These kids could go out there and play like back yard football and do better than this. Why dont we have coaches instead of former band members that always wanted to play football as coaches

Rough night for the Grizzlies. Fumbles and missed passes are killing us. I'll agree! If the coaches are teaching the team to fumble, drop passes, jump offside, hold,....... then they need to go. My bet is that's not the case. Room for improvement? You bet...always is. Tonight was tough. One thing I AM sick of hearing is fans calling players by name from the stands and fence when a play falls apart. These are still kids who are doing what they can to win. They deserve more than what some of the fans are giving them. I'll say the same thing for those yelling at the coaches from the stands. If you hate to see the Grizzlies play so much, stay home! My support is GO GRIZZLIES!...regardless of the final score. Maybe we need new fans who appreciate the hard work the players AND coaches put in for the rest of us! And, as for you....unless you are willing to step up and coach the team, or better yet...put on a helmet and pads and get out there and show the rest of us "how it's done", grow up..move on...stay home...just please go away!

I agree about yelling at the kids and coaches when things dont work out.. but with all the kids year after year different groups of players the results are the same loss after loss. It sure cant be blamed on not having talent. Because we have a group of very talented kids. Its the plays the coaches wanna run.Its hard to improve when the coaches arent what they claim a coach has a knowledge of the sport. Our so called coaches do not. Its up the middle every time. Run run run.

Oh by the way gibbs used to be the same way a mediocre team under coach carroll. They had a coaching change and now they can compete or even win over any team out there. I think the kids that play for grainger deserve to win. I do support them either way win or lose but with a better coaching staff the possibilities are endless

How many passes did gibbs throw? Pretty sure it was fewer than Grainger. If you are going to comment on the game, please have some knowledge about what you are talking about.

I would question on which is Grainger's most successful way to gain yards? Incompleted passes just gain a loss of down. At least the running game actually gains yards. I won't take anything away from the coach's responsibilities for wins and losses. But, they are not to blame for offside penalties, unsportsmanlike penalties, moving on the line, dropping passes, fumbling, running over teammates, and the list can go on and on and on....... First quarter last night was a well played quarter. Then, things fell apart in the second. There is no question that the most capable members of the team are on the field playing. The most capable handling the ball. You simply CANNOT commit as many infractions, fumbles, and just plain simple slip ups and expect to win. Maybe everyone needs to sit down for a good heart to heart discussion. Fresh plays? Different coaching style? More commitment on the field and sidelines? We could not afford to be sloppy with Gibbs last night, and the penalties and fumbles killed us. It's easy to sit here on the keyboard and coach/play the game over after it's finished. Question....where was everyone on here last week when we had a 100 yard return/score on an interception with 4 red zeros on the clock.....when Tindell took a sloppy onside kick to the endzone? When Buttry, Bunch, Smith, Morton, and everyone else were hitting on all 8 cylinders? I don't remember reading or hearing any praise for the players OR COACHES after that win. Go Grizzlies!

Graingers problem is what it has always been. They are a second rate team that can't compete on a level with the Carters and Gibbs. They have some talent on the team but depend to much on only certain players and certain plays. Mix it up a little then maybe they will be good when they play top rated teams instead of teams that are as bad or worse than they are

Yeah boy!!!!I just love it. But hey, thanks for letting us wipe our butts with your team every year! And you can keep blaming it on your coaches if that makes you feel better. Your lil backwoods school will never compete with the big dogs!

If you are yelling at the coaches or the players who are on the field working their butts off to win then you need to shut up or stay home.I bet you couldn't do any better and as a matter of fact we have won some games this year. And I am so proud of our team I wouldn't dare cheer for any other team! Our team isn't NFL so don't fuss and whine about our "untalented boys". Coach Finchum does all he can for the players and know plenty about football! Have a problem with him or Brisco? Then don't come to our games we don't want you anyhow!

We proud of players and coaches just tired of loosing. When they said who the head coach was when hammer gave it up I said wtf are they doing. Even some one helped during spring practice that's a teacher said they don't know crap about football. I would love to attend practice an evaluate the coaches I could tell you if it's the coaching. Not just for a day or week I'm talking weeks to evaluate. Maybe I could coach the coaches. Think about it fans it time for change. We have new school we need new direction before it gets old and loss is instilled in players to pass on to future programs here is how we do it loose. Hate if this sounds harsh but I'm tired of hearing kids that are good athletes say I'm not playing because of the coaches. Coaches should be a model for players to look up to and be proud of they should be Heroes to the players.

Your so right !! Brisco needs to go! It was a sad ending for Senior players last night. And for all the other players too.. Brisco, has no personality and no respect for his players. Grainger had a really good team this year. So sad Brisco couldn't coach ... Looks like something could be done about him ..his communication with players and parents needs improvement. He needs to be teaching these boys to be a team !! Not just a few that has that special name .. He is always so sour & smart A$$.. And really do we need all of those Coaches??....

Your post exhibits exactly what's been wrong with the Grizzlies all season! Briscoe and the other coaches have dropped too many easy passes, missed way too many blocks, fumbled too many times, been offside, had too many personal fouls, blocks in the back, movement, and offside too many times. They have killed us! It's evident that they can't play! Right? Let's see, which last name are you referring to? I think I remember some of the names on the field Friday night: Morton, Campbell, Davis, Watson, Tindell, Harp, Crisp, Smith, Burchett, Parker, Bates, Lopez, Buttry, Lamb, Bunch, Corum, Luttrell, Lakins, Ewoldt, Samsel, and there were others. Which of these names is the "right name"? What last name do you have in mind that will make them win? Could it be yours? Maybe the communication skills between the players and parents with the coaches needs improvement. Last time I looked at any team that was winning, the players listened to and did what the coaches told them to do, and the parents stayed out of the way since they aren't involve in what's on the field. Thank goodness for those parents Friday night who were cheering the team on right up until the last seconds. The rest of you were sitting there making excused for the dropped passes, penalties, and everything else that cost us that game. By the way, it wasn't the coaches who caused the penalties, dropped the ball, etc. We have a great group of guys playing in the Grizzly uniforms. Best anywhere. Let's see now. The coaches are out there day in and day out trying to teach your kids to play good and better ball. Are your kids listening and giving the coaches 100%? Could the coaches do things differently from time to time? Always! Have the parents and fans done what they are supposed to do and support the TEAM win or lose? ABSOLUTELY NOT! I'm sick of hearing parents and other fans sit near me in the stands not cheering for nor supporting our team, but complaining about someone's last name, who plays where, and THEY are not happy because of what's going on down on the field. The biggest breakdown for the Grizzlies the past few years has been IN THE STANDS. You have to have support to win, all these boys got were whiners and complainers! Last time I looked, we were playing for the Grizzlies Friday night, not just the seniors! Great job players....great job coaches....great job SOME of you parents and fans....and shame on you complainers for not supporting the team! It does make a difference! Yes, shame on you coaches for dropping all those balls, committing all those penalties, and for costing us the game! I thought it was always a TEAM effort. When we lose, we all bear our own part of the responsibility! Shame on you parents and fans who dropped the ball and didn't do your part! Thanks players and coaches for another good season! I've enjoyed every second of it, and look forward to next year! I also look forward to the day when the School Board brings all these experts down from the stands to take over and show the rest of us "how it's done right"! GO GRIZZLIES!
