Hannon should not run
Leaving Grainger

I was born here in Grainger County in 1953, my entire family are all natives. My uncle owns a business in Blaine and my two cousins have businesses in Rutledge and Blaine. We are well known among all.
My husband and I had decided to move out of Grainger because it has become a county lead by misfits. If we would ever give mr. Hannon any advice it would "don't waste your time running for sheriff". This county is run by misfits and suppoted by misfits. You can read the comments on Topix, all the good ole boys want is someone that caan put in that will turn their head and do nothing. I have read what hannon has wrote and he has great ideas, the good ole boys won't allow him in the club. We have our house up for sale and we can not wait to leave here. I heard that cameron, phillips and may other good ole boys could run, another bunch of boys in the club.

I feel really sad that you are leaving, like so many others that we have all heard are leaving Grainger. I understand what you wrote about Mr. Hannan, but, you is our only chance of changing our good ole boy system. i would hope you will not change his mind.

How can Mr. Hannan be efficient when he has so many health problems. Dialysis 5 times per week I think I read in one of his posts. We have one now that is so obese he couldn't run down a 2 year old much less participate in a foot chase.

Leaving Grainger County, I can see your frustration. I agree that Grainger County has long been run by a bunch of clowns and the Justice System is more like a dog and pony show.

However, it is up to the citizens and voters to change that. We actually have that chance with a candidate that is not from here and who does not carry a card from the Good Ole Boys Club. Mr. Hannan has some wonderful ideas on how to change things. I realized that he will have to get elected first, and that is not going to be easy. Some people fight change, they fear it, it is the unknown.

Something to think about, "IF" Mr. Hannan was in a wheelchair, wearing a pacemaker, hearing aids, with a seeing eye dog, he would still be more capable of doing the job than what we have now. I do believe he would actually show up, ready to work. Mr, Hannan's health has improved with time and treatment.

Thank you, LuAnne, for your confidence in Mr. Hannan.
There have been many people who are impaired in some way being very accomplished in other ways.
I have met Mr. Hannan in person, and I feel that I am pretty good at physical assements of others, as I have been a nurse for 41 years, and have worked in Emergency Rooms, Coronary Care Units, Open Heart Units, and Psychiatric Units.
These are all units where quick assements and actions are necessary for the survival of your patients.
I saw in Mr. Hannan a fine gentleman who carries himself well, has tremendous 'presence', looks you in the eye when speaking to you, and looks like he could be physically intimidating when the occasion called for it.
I'd say he commands a great deal of respect in any crowd.
He has my respect and my support.
I encourage any and all citizens of Grainger County to meet with Mr. Hannan, speak to him on issues, ask him about his experience (prepare to be VERY impressed), and talk with him about his goal and plans for his high office.
He will win you over, I'll just bet.

Lisa: We have two years before the election.
I'd say that Mr Hannan will go on doing good things for people, and other people will learn that he is a good man, a man of his word, and trustworthy for the position he seeks.
I'm sure that many other people will soon want to vote for him. We will have our chance.

Mame, you are so wrong. The P.O.S.T clearly states that he may run, but, we have already been in contact with Nashville and spoke to the certification P.O.S.T officer who clearly states he may. Mr. Hannan
has already filed his letter. The background on his credentials were satisfied according to Tennessee Statute.
