The story is as clear as a bell.... Law states Site Plans must be issued before permits are granted.... Permits granted without Site Plans which makes PERMITS BOGUS..... Who issued the permits, a fellow member of the club?????
Sorry, no it isn't. There were no records kept. It was all verbal. So it's as clear as mud, morally.

And it's not law. It's Town By-Law. Which is a regulation allowed by the state. A legal proceedure.

I don't believe the ZA who issued these permits was ever a member.

The legal "loophole" - it doesn't matter if the club is right or wrong... it still costs (a lot) of money to defend yourself. A motion should be filed to stop the neighbors from filing any more motions and to end these frivolous fighting and law suits. How much money and time have the Beauchesnes cost the already overloaded Court system? THEY should be fined and penalized!
Why the Club just go for a site plan? What are they hiding? Who is spending all the money and tying the court system up if the club just does what the town wants it wouldn't tie up and enviormental court. Isn't the NRA defending the Club looks like Goss is making lots of money from the NRA. Why Can't the Club be good neighbors to everyone and keep a good name. We always talked to the neighbors prior to getting thrown out of the Club. As for the lenght of the range just look at the Beauchesnes website and 1980 there is no range there. Tell me how did that federal program building leantos in the 1975 for school children ,over 400 a year, hiking the trails up to the caves there is no way they could have done that with the range as it is today. Maybe they should start it back that was a nice school it was really great for the community. Remember Pikes industries blasting the rock check out the old newspaper I think 1974 and the lenght of the range 100 yards . It seams to me the shooters can get very angry its to bad it gives us sportsman a bad name

There are older photos that show it. I've seen them. Obie has one.

Half the problem the club has started with the dog people. Most of the permits being asked for, the doggers did without getting a permit. So quit calling the kettle black there frying pan.

The "caves" (overhangs) are on the south side of a ridge, away from the range.

If you "sportsmen" were so great, why did you get kicked out??

Where were the doggers incorporated?

Where is a copy of the permit for live trapping rabbits and releasing them?

Where's the permit for the fences? Puppy pen? Outhouse? Puppy pen in the wetland? Etc........

The older photos had no trees untill we planted 66,000 trees right up the mountain side. The caves are on the south side but the 500 meter target is off to the west Would you send a kid up there when there shooting there big guns? Every thing we did up there we had to go through Hale Mountain. Tell them the real reason we got kicked out. You wanted to expand your shooting again since the 5 stand made you over $32000 in one year. Looked like good money you shooters even had plans to expand shooting again itwas in the works. This was in addition to the Bennington Police shooting there after the dump closed. Than more police departments came it to blast there guns. You also allowed 50 caliber guns to shoot they can shoot through an armor car. This was not the Club it was back in the 80's. Oh the outhouse came from the sheriffs department.

You have to look at the right series of photos.

Where are these 66,000 trees? The red pine?

What about the ridge between these "caves" (they aren't caves) and the range? Who is shooting through the ridge?

Everything the doggers did, did not go through the Club. Some MAY HAVE when the doggers had control of the board.

There was no expansion, it was maintaining what was there that hadn't been maintained since the doggers where in control.

How much did the doggers make that was never turned over to the club?? But yet used the vast majority of the club's land??

Fifty's have been banned.

The outhouse regardless of where it came from, placed in the dog area, was done with no permit.
