A person who's has one employee and no management background is out of his league. Lew would be a very bad choice for Sheriff.

He's also a double dipper, he works full time for the state and is also a full time lawyer. A typical everything to everyone politician, we're not stupid.

Lew all the way!!!! We the people deserve better than old political hacks who are so well entrenched in the system that they can't seem to find their way to the door and leave. Retire once, then bounces back to give us more.

Lew brings a new perspective and new ideas to this job. How anyone could compare Lew to Guy Glotis is beyond me. They are polls and parties apart.

Go gett'um Lew!!!!!

His three ideas can't work. They're testing now for the green thing and it will cost way too much to implement. The sheriff can't deport anybody, it's the federal governments job and to attempt to charge inmates a fee is not feasible it would cost a fortune to set up the division in order to attempt to collect these uncollectable monies. He must think we're all stupid. Say no to Lew. How long has he been working two full time jobs? He's been pulling the wool over our eyes for to long. SAY NO TO LEW!! The word is this week will bring some news about the real Lew, and it's not very flattering.

After observing Mr. Evangelidis today I can see why they refer to him as "Silly Lew", he isn't very professional at all.

"LOCAL REPRESENTATIVES' 2010 ROLL-CALL ATTENDANCE RECORDS: The percentage listed next to the representative's name is the percentage of roll-call votes for which he or she was present and voting. The number in parentheses represents the number of roll calls that the representative missed:

•Rep. Lewis Evangelidis, 97.9 percent (5)"

This was found on Rep. Dennis Rosa's site, by Bob Katzen, I am not sure of the news source but it shows his Roll Call Attendance.

I love this way of thinking, IF Lew actually held TWO full time jobs, how would he be able to have such a great percentage of votes made. Yes, Lew does still work as a Lawyer, but there is no way there is enough time in the day for him to do both jobs. And, if you know Lew, you know he is extremely dedicated to his district and is at all kinds of community events all over his district, from Holden to Westminster. So for Lew to hold TWO full time jobs as you suggest, there would have to be 48 hours in the day. Oh, and by the way, don't forget, the guy also has a family.

MY POINT: Those that talk that Lew is a typical politician and is just looking for a stepping stone have never met the man. The Lew that represents me, looks out for the best for his district, regardless of what his party wants him to vote, he has been a great representative and has served his district very well. He is not beholden to anybody and will do as he says, bring back professionalism to the Office of Sheriff. I will fully support him and am glad to also call him a friend.

Nice try Lew, but two full time jobs make a double dipper out of you, sorry. Where do you see yourself in 6 years, honestly?

Why are we as taxpayers paying for another wasteful layer of government? Sheriff? Really? Does he ride out with the posse to catch horse thieves?

Where's the plan to consolidate this hold over agency from 100 years ago to one of the 200 other law enforcement groups we already have?

Simply amazing how wasteful and backward this government is.

If foley is disabled- he shouldn't be working while collecting disability. That is double dipping and morally reprehensible.

It's clear that Lew is a Double Dipper, getting paid for working two full times jobs.

Lew also took a major hit in todays Telegram, his lack of integrity has been shown. He should be ashamed.

The Telegram's story exposing Lews E Mail asking his people to attack Foley through letters to the editor, has certainly destroyed his claims of being a man of integrity. That and the fact that he himself is Double Dipping, proves he's not the man he tries to portray himself as.

I imagine the Lew team will try to stop the attack letters they were planning. The timing of this exposing of them can't be good news for them. Negitive has never worked, when will they learn.

Guy Glodis is backing Lew Evangelidis because Lew has promised that he will not "hurt Guy's boys at the jail". True to his word, Tom Foley refused to make promises and Guy had to go with Lew. They are a great match. Guy and Lew, two political hacks with bad names and no experience. Lew, if you are hoping that Guy will show you how to use the sheriff office to further your political career, be careful. It didn't work out too well for poor Guy. Once again, you have lied to the people. It will catch up to you. It always does.

Something just doesn't smell right, the good old boys just don't want to let go and they've latched onto to Evangelidis.
If he won the jail wouldn't change a bit, it would be business as usual.
The bottom line is Lew is completely unqualified and needs Glodis to run the place, same old, same old.
Why on earth would we want to pay Lew 50k a year more tan Tom? It makes no sense, he's no law man he's just another politician that's taking care of other politicians.
Think long and hard about this one folks, the best will cost you less and he owes nobody anything.

Foley would become the highest paid State employee. His full disability plus sheriffs salery would push him to an Obama rich guy status, not counting bene's. He won't work with Glodis because he want's to bring in all his own buddies. What does Lew get - well in response to all you critics out there regaridng Lew's experience - he gets a nice smooth transition witht the current Sheriff by his side for the first 18 months. I guess it takes away that arguement. I think it is a win win and give Lew the ability to transition into office nicely.

Most Bove supporters are going to Lew also. Many people out there are not happy with Foley trying to "Double Dip" and now saying he can work after he recieved full disability. Not to mention the 122 DUI's he got peoople off of. Too much junk in the trunk on him. Lew is clean in that regard.
