DR. Fisher had a disturbing phone call ?? Did they check to see if maybe he was too disturbed to be working on people. Those people left waiting may be lucky!

Ditto on what 'fairviewredneck' said. Also, a question for Crummie's patients: Do you want to continue to put either your or your loved one's lives in his hands? Think about it. As for Fisher, did the hospital investigate why this incident happened?

upsetting personal telephone call affects all people and he wasn't given any benefit of putting the patients first, which he did. The Board really blew it but they are God, so they think.

De-licensed docs can always move to a third world country so desperate for doctors that they don't have the luxury of caring about quality. Hopefully, they never come back.

The problem with FIshers' going awol is that it is patient abandonment. He was right not to have tried to do care, and we don't know what the phone call was - normally, health care professionals are expected not to receive personal calls while working unless it's a dire emergency - like a family member died. If it's just your spouse or partner wanting to gripe at you, they are expected to wait till after hours. So, I'd expect this call must have been a major issue. Still, what he should have done was call his supervisor and ask for someone to cover for a few minutes till he could collect himself, not just walk away.

Unfortunately they dont have to move to a third world country......all they have to do is move across the state line!!!!!!!
