Well, this promotion didn't go off as planned, with the $40.00 entrance fee, not many people showed up, many singers only did one day and didn't sell many items. DJ Jimmy Jay was there doing some interviews, Mary Weiss (Shangri Las) was there, Mary Wilson (Supremes) Al Jardine (Beach Boys) Jay and the Americans, Clay Cole, The Brooklyn Bridge minus their great lead singer the late Johnny Maestro. Some thought they should have brought in some big names but with big names comes big $$$. Those that did show up, were diappointed, lost of time and money. Better luck next time.

True, not packed with people but great for talking to the artists-Denny Laine from Moody Blues, Paul Cotton from Poco, The Angels,(My Boyfriend's Back) Tommy James(and the Shondels), Kasim Sultan from Utopia, The Smithereens, Spanky from Spanky and our Gang. Good jams in the ballroom, too. Funny seeing May Pang, the "other woman" that was central inJohn Lennon's life. WE had a great time. Got tickets online for $30.00 and felt it was well worth it. Hope Rock Con isn't a one trick pony,,,,

Well then, good thing you didn't go! We did and had a fabulous time-well worth the $30.00 per ticket.

As someone who was there for 3 days, our time and the money spent was not worth the effort. We could have made 5 times more doing a concert, but it was billed as 1,000 stars, even the DJ's that were there were like what the hell. One gal who had a hit in the 60's sold three CD's, she left Friday night. Those of us that stayed all said "never again". The promoters did a horrid job of promotion and promised the moon.

It was billed as having 100 stars-not 1.000 stars! Granted, there were not even 100 artisis and yes, it could have been better for those of you who were performing and hawking your wares but as a spectator, we enjoyed it.
