"Still, this may the closest fans will ever get to a bona-fide reunion". mentioned Gurman

Perhaps maybe should have been used. May I recommend running spell check or proof read your grammar next time!

His ancient bones tour will be exciting for those of his original fans who still can walk unassisted.

I hear he's got a new hit coming out soon......

Leaving Michael Anthony out is stupid and petty. Gee, I'm sorry that Eddie has a divorce to pay for, but come on.....

Is it Happy Hour, yet? I can't wait to get to New York City! Madison Square Garden, Scores, Beacon Theatre, lap dances, Continental Arena, the Bada Bing! Excuse me a minute, "Wolfie, can you go down to the liquor store, and get daddy another case of Amstel Light?" That's better. Now, if David Lee Roth would just keep his BIG mouth shut, maybe we'll get through this reunion tour. If not, I'll just give Sammy Hagar a call!

It's either THIS: Van Halen with Roth but no Michael Anthony or no Van Halen with Roth at all. It's a real shame that the Van Halens (and maybe Roth, too) have had this falling out with Michael Anthony, but let's give the kid a chance, man! Wolfgang has grown up absorbing the music of his father and his uncle: the Van Halens! This should be really something. Hope that kid whups ass on the bass and can sing background vocals. If he can do that, then they'll be cool.

*lol* that's funny man!
Y'know, being a fan of Van Halen through both Dave and Sammy, I must confess that I'm disappointed that they 1stly, are not coming to our city and of course, are not bringing on Michael Anthony. So... what is this... the 4th incarnation of Van Halen? nope, not for me folks... This must simply be a money thing. Apparently the VH boys ego is so far out of control they can't even offer us long time fans a last opportunity to see the original members do their thing. Even Kiss managed to put aside their misgivings and provided us with that.
I suspect it to be a short thing just to generate enough funds for Eddie to go back to rehab for something else. I'm disappointed. Those dudes kicked ass in their day and now they are nothing but a fleeting shadow of their former glory.
If it's not going to be the "real deal" then don't bother teasing us.
As for Wolfgang, go young man! I hope this leads to a fruitful career for him... If he's smart though, he'll learn from the mistakes that Van Halen made and remember... the fans make you who you are, manage the ego.

Hopefully Wolfie won't pick up any of dad's bad habits on tour.

And Michael Anthony was the only one to show up for the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame induction. Why is he being left out of this?

i hope this time all will go well. they should keep them away from each other at all times, and only be together on stage. i think ed and dave share the "i'm the front man, this is my band, it is nothing w/out me" type of thinking. if they come to mlps. i WILL go !!

I loved the "old" Van Halen! I saw David Lee Roth tour w/Steve Vai on guitar back in the 80's, and loved him. I just don't think Eddie's 16 year old kid on guitar is gonna make me wanna go out and spend a ton of $$$ for a ticket!

Honestly, I don't think it will be the same....

All the posters seem to have neglected that Wolfgangs'last name is "Van Halen!" So, technically this is more Van Halen than any other lineup. I agree, Michael Anthony is a great guy, writer, vocalist, and an ok bass player. Dave Lee Roth is totally overrated, but it is more about the "Van Halen Experience." Yes it will be a mockery of their early selves but not all of us were lucky enough to live in USA early 80's, so we take what we can get.
