This team was doomed when Klink was hired. The man is just too plain stubborn to learn from his own mistakes. One would think that he would learn and grow into the job but he hasn't. His game plan is still overly conservative week in and week out and the sidelines always seem to be in a state of mass confusion. Oh yeah he still thinks TJ is a franchise QB. Hopefully is departure will be part of the "Huge changes".

“any questions?”

What irritates me is all these people that just want to write off the Vikings when winning the division is still very feasible. The Packers are very beat up and not really playing championship football. The Bears are BEARly getting by. Every single team has looked sloppy. And we play both teams for a total 4 times, and they play each other once. This thing is still wide open. All the pundits dropping the Vikings will be the same ones touting them as the NFC favorites at the end of the year. I'm telling ya this thing will all come together next week......unless something happens to Favre. Next weeks game is gonna look similar to last years beat down of the Cowboys. Don't think it will be as bad, but it'll be close.

Why did we trade Sapp for a punt returner? If thats all they're gonna use Camarillo for, then I would much rather have kept Sapp with all the CB injuries. We need to pick up another one.

If the huge changes don't involve a head coach lynching than why bother? If Klink comes back with T-Joke as his franchise QB they might as well turn the lights out at the dome a year early because no one will show up to watch a game!
Klink should really be feeling the hot seat now!

If the Vikings don't turn it`around, next yr. will be a complete rebuild, Favre gone, Moss most likely, Pat Williams, Edwards,. Wilf needs to be on the phone with Cowher now. I know it is TJs last year but he will be back....who wants him?

Childress said: "We were doomed from the start of the game. We weren't ready to play when we came out of the locker room". Asked why after a bye week they were not prepared, he says: "Your guess is as good as mine".

They were doomed from the minute they hired Childo. They have no QB waiting in the wings and the one they do have is getting beat up because of a horrid offensive line. The play calling is suited for a bad high school program and no one has a clue of how to make an in game adjustment. All of this ultimately comes down on the head coach, who took a wonderful opportunity and tossed it away because of his arrogance. This is not a championship team, right now they might not even be middle of the pack. Wilf needs to wake up and send Childo on his way and work on getting a coach in here that actually can coach and draft/build a roster. Moss was a nice pick-up, but it was about 6 weeks or so too late. As it has been now for the past 50 plus years, this team needs to go back to the drawing board and start over.

Is the season salvageable??? Do the math. 6 losses and your out. Do you really think that this team is going to go 12-2 the rest of the way. Especially with Childress and Bevell calling stupid plays that get us nowhere. You must be kidding. Sell as many tickets now as you can, set as many records as Favre can now, because next year this team will be a joke. Peterson will want a new contract and hold out. Favre won't return. Moss will walk for a big payday. TAVARIS will be the QB. Way to totally screw up a chance to finally get to the Super Bowl. At least this year our hearts won't get ripped out in the playoffs like last year when we HAD the best team. From now on we can go back to not really caring about the team or their record because they will be so far away from the playoffs in the next 5-10 years that it won't matter.

You must be kidding. This team is not Pittsburgh who can lose their best player for 4 games and win three. This franchise can't win no matter what they try to do.

the season is young and the division is a mess. And next year? Donovan McNabb will be here...it's a natural fit and one reason why he signed a one year deal with Washington.

Hate to say it but as someone else posted, we need to quit kissing Favres ass and realize he stuck around 1 year too long. He does not have the desire and body to do it any longer. Too bad he wasn't in training camp to show this "problem" to the team so they could have moved on without him!

Wow Charlie, we're a 1/4 of the season through and the Vikings are already doomed. This was such a well thought out article. Lets take a look at whats left at the already doomed season of the Minnesota Vikings. Starting off with the Super Bowl bound Dallas Cowboys. We were so lucky to get by them in the division championship last year. Theyre bringing their high scoring, well-disciplined, dominating offense to the Mini-Dome. Their defense that held the high flying T Titans to a measley 34 points at home. Yah, thats doomsday for the Vikings fer sure. Then, we go to Lambeau where it is virtually impossible to win. Once again we sure got lucky there last year. They dominated the Vikings up and down the field, and because of the poor officiating we were able to squeeze out a win in GB. The Pack is loaded with personnel, the WR's are having the season of their life, Aaron Rodgers is a lock for MVP, Ryan Grant is running wild, they held the bulldozing Detroit Lions to almost nothing. They have depth at TE, Rodgers is feeling great, the defense is loaded with playmakers Nick Barnett, Clay Matthews, and Brady Poppinga. We probably go down to Cheese country and smothered on a cracker. So thats 0-2, then we have to play the high scoring potent O of the NE Pats, who ahve the ability to stretch the field with their newly acquired WR Deion Branch who demanded a 4th round pick coming off one a prolific tenure w/the Seattle Seahawks. They have a bevy of wideouts that can break a game at any time. And their secondary is unbeleivable, absolutely no hard feelings between Moss and the NE organization, I cant see Moss looking forward to this matchup. So, its pretty much finished by the time they leave NE, right? And then they have the second half of the season where they have to face the likes of the Arizona Cardinals, Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions and then we have to face the Pack and Da Bears again. Yah Charlie your article wreaks scholarship.

Forget McNabb he's done...David Carr would be a perfect fit here...mobile...big arm...can read defences...

Brewster - here we go again! Further proof you are not the man for Minnesota. Who is the starting receiver for (CLEMSON) as a freshman? Bryce McNeal! From where? Breck!!! Missed him too ha!! Rose Bowl? Quit and go sell used cars - you'd be great at that. You are no head fb coach. Not college, not hs, not jv - not any team!!
