The band are way past their prime. Touring for the money pure and simple

I travelled all the way from ther UK to see Phil, Mike and Tony perform and they were incredible. The best concert I have ever attended.

Genesis has sucked for so long that it's difficult to remember that brief moment when they were merely mediocre.

Hey Alice in Port Chester...why bother with the post? You're obviously not a fan - so why waste your time or anyone elses with such negativity?

Genesis does not suck. The three remaining member are VERY accomplished musicians - as were the two who left - and have sold a lot of records and have millions of fans worldwide.

If you don't like their music, that's fine and you're entitled to your opinion. But spare us of your ignorance. It's rather distasteful.

I found the concert to be boring :( I was in a group with three other people and we all agreed to leave after about 90 minutes and we were not alone...

I saw Genesis back in the early 80s and they were much better than. Still a good show, but I did expect more.....

"Land of Confusion" is a 'lesser known work?' It was only one of the most popular songs and videos of the reached #4 on the US Top 100 chart. Lesser known indeed!

The drum duet that needed trimming was a lead-in to "Los Endos," an instrumental track from "Trick of the Tail." I saw them twice in Albany and Giants Stadium (which was Thursday and not Wednesday), and the drum duet plus Los Endos is likely the ten minute jam you're referring to.

I agree that the repackaged CDs weren't met with much fanfare, because the box sets are remasters of past albums. Might be great pickups for those who don't have the CDs already, but I'd think the reaction is "been there done that."

The "Turn it On Again" CD is also a repackaging of a 1999 "Turn It On Again- The Hits" CD, so again, though there's a few more songs on it this time, if you have the two "Archives" box sets (and that 1999 disc) there's no need to buy that one either.

Fans of all eras of Genesis probably enjoyed the performance...for me, the drum duet/Los Endos was one of the high points, as well as "Home by the Sea" and "I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)."

The Genesis fans whose experience goes as far as hearing the radio friendly cuts from "Invisible Touch" and "I Can't Dance" probably thought the concert was a bore.

When it comes to whether they "suck" or not, it's hard to argue about the talent of a band when three members of it went on to pretty successful side gigs- Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins solo, and Mike Rutherford's "Mike and the Mechanics."

It's a sad day when good music played well is unappreciated. Excellent show.

My sister and I have been Genesis fans for many years. We just saw them last night at Giant Stadium and loved the show. Sure, they are all older, and the energy level is different than in the early early years, but who the hell isn't older. The only thing I would change about the show is the large screens should show more wide angle views....As always, the lighting is incredible; cutting edge.

I'm 52 and have seen hundreds of concerts and have been a fan of the band for over 30 years. Talk about a high energy show! This was one of the best concerts I've ever seen! I can't believe the detractors here, you're obviously not Genesis fans so why bother posting negative comments? I agree with Kevin. Gabes and Alice, what the heck are you smoking? Get a life, please....

Sorry, but Genesis sucked the minute they put Phil Collins in charge.
