Wallington Council passes municipal budget
The Wallington Borough Council on April 8 adopted the 2013 to 2014 municipal budget of $12.9 million, which will raise property taxes by $75 for a home assessed at $377,000, according to accountant Ralph Piccone.

It is a shame that homeowners taxes will be increased because of the new municipal budget when the town of Wallington is continuing to keep the present police chief in office at the same pay after he failed his captains exam. Why doesn't he just step down and give a qualified officer the position one who passed the exam. What a waste of taxpayers money. It's such a disgrace.

Who's the chief? That practice has been going on for many years. Late 70's early 80's there was a cop who couldn't pass the sergeants exam... numerous times but he was made one. And of course they are raising taxes... costs a lil more these days to go on vacation!!! Plus I bet there are a few others who want in on the proverbial " share of the pie.'
