Lake Land 'Or Litter

Have any Lake Land 'Or residents noticed a recent disturbing increase in the amount of litter on the sides of the roads? Streets near my house are beginning to resemble third world countries. Given that I already hand over way too mucn money to the HOA, shouldn't I have the right to expect that they would have someone available to clean the streets. Or is the HOA simply too incompetent to perform basic maintenance functions? Come to think of it, I've noticed a lot of litter on Ladysmith Road too. What is wrong with people?

You should expect it to be cleaned up in the neighborhood.Alot of staff on the maint.dept.without guidance or supervision. No excuse, in the 9 years I have lived here 90% of the time I have seen the maint. crew standing idle. As for Ladysmith Rd. Most of the trash comes from LR Carter Roll off dumpsters flying through there without tarping their load.

Sorry but most communities in Louisa don't have trash p/u; so while driving to their local recycle/trash center their trash flies out of the back of their pickup trucks.
Seems to me most residents don't give a damn anyway-just look at their yards. Holy crap.

Guessing all the $$ hungry realtors forget to tell prospective buyers the small stuff.

I live in Land'Or and I always see a maintenance guy driving in that blue pickup truck with a trashcan in the back, and he picks up even the smallest piece of paper. And the Ladysmith Road has now been cleaned up. Things are now looking nice.

Hell the trash could not hurt that dump.Maybe that is the problem people think its a dump site. Why don't you people take a little pride in your area of the county. Please stay on that side of the county, we don't need the trash in or on the Wonderfull Rappahannock River Valley area.Clean up your side of caroline.

For the record, in the time since I wrote the original post, the situation has improved in Lake Land 'Or and on Ladysmith Road. The litter on Ladysmith Road got accumulated to a disturbing amount until April, when, I presume, the county came and cleaned up most of the trash on the sides of the road. Kudos for the county for cleaning up the mess of local idiots. Also, to be fair, kudos to Lake Land 'Or staff for addressing the trash that I saw.

If you kept your trash on your side of the river, maybe Land Or wouldn't have that much trash to pick up!!!!!!!!!! Land Or community used to be nice til the economy slipped up an no one was around to care. That problem appears to be solved. What is your excuse for the trash on your side?
