That inmate that died was my long term boyfriend of eight years. I wish I could find out if the prison is going to be held accountable for his death.

As an X inmate @ Ely I can say that somehow, someway they will find a way to justify. I'm sorry for your loss, But things beyond civilians imaginations happen inside those walls. Everything you can imagine gangs, robbery, loan sharking, ect all the crimes that happen out here happen in there worse.
The prison will always say they found him dead, was killed by another inmate, or other BS like that. Your boyfriend unfortunately is gone, he will never be back no matter what happened, Please move on with your life and think of the good times you two shared.
Once you recover from his loss find a man that is free and move on..Just close this chapter of your life..Again my deepest sympathies...

another inmate has been killed at Ely this last week - last week of FEB. 2007. It has not appeared in any newspapers yet that I have seen. THey say he was found against a wall with his face smashed in. Why is the prison covering this up?

Thank you for your kind words. I am trying to go on with my life the best way I know how. The wound will heal but the scar will always remain. I loved him so. He is with me always

Once again Nevada is getting away with murder.
If you really care, why don't you fight back.
The syatem is corrupt and just letting these jackles with badges get away with it is morally and ethically wrong.
We as Americans, even the ones behind bars have rights. Its up to all of us to correct the system and if that means filing a class action law suit to effect reform and change, then do it.
The alternative is dening our Constitutional Freedoms, even for those behind bars. You cannot let the Nevada system get away with it.
Fight back!

First of all...why are you with an inmate? If he loved you, he would be taking care of you instead of being in prison. No sympathy here for those that cannot follow our laws. Our society is so lenient, it isn't even funny. One less off of the street.

First of all..... as for you asking why is she with an inmate, I personally think that is a horrible thing to say. I also am with an inmate at Ely State prison. You really can't help who you fall in love with and people who ask that stupid question are just not thinking. I fear for my fiance' everyday cause the things that he tells me that goes on in there is 10 times worse than out here. I am very sorry for your loss and don't pay any attention to stupid questions like that. I also think you should sue. Maybe if you get a class action law suit going they might change the way things are run. I can totally relate with you about your loss. The last weekend I went to visit my fiance' I saw the bloody stretcher it really make me worry about him. Plus the guy that got stabbed was one of his friends. But yes sue.

When senseless people sue, it costs us, the taxpayers more, and more money. You are so irresponsible to suggest that. And yes, you can certainly help who you fall in love with. Don't you have any respect for yourselves or the safety of your (potential) children? There are a million men that you can fall in love with, why choose someone who makes irresponsible choices? Don't you want a half way decent life? Someone that you can have a life with? You can't have a real life with somebody behind bars. I am not judging you. As a woman, I am watching out for you. You deserve better.

First of all, he wasn't always an inmate. He was a wonderful husband and father of three beautiful kids. Second of all, how dare you sit there and judge someone you know nothing about? Are you without sin? Maybe you should take a good hard look at yourself in the mirror before you judge anyone. And yes we are sueing. Somebody has to stand up for the rights and safety of the inmates. Yes, they have done some bad things in their lives but they still have the right to be safe. I love Anthony with all of my heart and soul and those who want to talk down about him, you too will have to stand in judgement of your maker. Will you hold your head up high or will you be ashamed of youself?

Yes, I am without sin...I can hold my head up high. I do not condone or protect people who have earned their way into our prison system. We owe them nothing, and since it is on my hard earned tax dollar, I have everything to say about it. So stick you righteous law breaking attitude some place else.I would never listen to anything that you have to say because you make poor choices. Enjoy your weekend visits.

Neese you are NOT without sin, everyone is a natural sinner. We are made that way.
What you most definitely are is a blinkered old fool who probably thinks your own s*** doesn't stink.

Really? What am I doing wrong? I have a nice house, nice family, good job, never been arrested, help my community, donate to good causes. No, I am not old yet, but I do have a good head on my shoulders, and unlike you, I actually respect the elderly because they already know everything, and they are willing to teach people like me a few things that I don't know. All I know is that people with bad intentions should have no rights, so the rest of us good people can live without fear, that's all.

And you have never ever done anything to upset anyone right? Never made anyone cry? Never called anyone a name and hurt their feelings?
YOU ARE UNBELIEVABLE!

So what you are saying is that no-one can be rehabilitated? Lock up all wrong doers and throw away the key? People change, people make mistakes. A man was beaten to death in prison and thats ok because he was in prison after all? CRAZY!

I have one thing to say about you Neese. You are a very, very blind person. Yes my fiance' is in prison paying for something someone else did!!!!! You say you aren't judging us for loving an inmate, but really that is exactly what you are doing. And stupid blind people like you do end up getting yours in the end. I don't agree with the way the prison system is cause I see it everyday at work. They really need to treat people with respect even if they are in prison. They are still human beings. You on the ,other hand, really should keep your ridiculous little opinion to yourself. You are a very onesided person and you need to get out of your shell and join the real world!!!!

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Pisces

This is another good day to be tactful, and if anything you'll be even more successful than you were yesterday. This is not to be sneezed at, so seize the opportunity to talk to people who can sometimes be very touchy or who need to be handled with kid gloves. If you meet someone who's older or more influential than you, you'll be a big hit with them.
