3:30pm friday the russellville pd showed up @ Walter Hirsh (aka Wally) residence & fataly shot & killed him. We just got 1st hand information from his neighbor that Wally was on the 2nd floor balcony with a rifle across his lap. We hear from them that he never pointed the gun @ the officer. When they showed up, he stood up, put his hands on the balcony with the rifle laying across his arms & the cop shot him. He didn't even have the gun in his hands! I know Wally personally, he was 1 of the nicest guys u could meet. Yea he had his problems like every1 else, but he was 1 of those guys that would do anything he could to help any1. I don't think that is a justifiable shooting, but I bet bc he has a badge & Wally had a rap sheet, that after his paid leave during the investigation he will b found of no wrong doing & given back his gun. I think it's wrong that sum1 gets a nonviolent fellony or drug charge, he looses his gun rights for life, but a cop can shoot someone & they get a vacation! Justice for Wally!

My god... I don't even know where to begin. I don't know who you are or where this information is really coming from, but it is the most ignorant things I have ever read. This shooting was deemed one of the most clean and justifiable shoots in the State of Arkansas in the last 20 years. Walter Hirsch was on his porch, gun in hand, after ordered to put it down, Hirsch was tased by the first officer. Hirsch then raised his arm to point the weapon at the officers. It was then that the second officer fired his weapon, protecting both of the officer's lives. Before you start talking, you should probably get reliable information and not listen to people who claim to be witnesses. Everything I just stated was what the officer's stated, their audio matches and all of the witness's statements match up to. So please, if you must be ignorant, keep it to yourself. And seriously, if you were his friend, I think you would know how to spell his last name.

How can you know this? If you know this please send this information to his family. They are waiting for an explanation from the police but have not received one yet.
