We, too, have been patients of Bentley and are very fond of him. We are also neighbors. I have just read about the accident and we will be praying that he makes a speedy recovery and is home to spend the holidays with this family.

Bentley is at University of Louisville Hospital. He is still undergoing tests and scans to determine the extent of his injuries. He has sustained head trauma and fortunately has responded when asked to move his arms and legs.

Continue to pray. I know he and Candi appreciate all the prayers being offered up on their behalf.

Bentley has been moved from the trauma unit to ICU. The bleeding has stopped on his brain. He has two fractured vertebrae. They are gradually trying to get him off the ventilator. The doctors are optimistic at this point. It's going to be a long road to full recovery.

Continue to pray...our prayers are being answered!

I agree he is a good guy. I hope him the very best. He is not a Doctor, he is a registered nurse practioner.

Thank you for that clarification. So many people refer to nurse practitioners as doctors and they are not. there is quite a difference in education level and what they can do.

Big Deal...that is not the topic of whether he is a nurse practitioner or an actual doctor. Besides, I've met alot of nurse practitioners that know and do alot more than the actual doctors. Degrees...bah humbug!

Hope everyone who sees this site prays for the O'Dell Family. They are one of the best examples for family I have ever met. He is a fine doctor and she is a wonderful teacher. My nephew has nothing but praise for her. My experience with him as a doctor and as a person always brightens my day. We need more folks like them in our lives. He seems to have a real love for people. May God Bless and keep him during this tragic time.

I just talked to someone that had been to the hospital and Bently has 2 broken vertabrae in his neck and a possible broken ankle. He will have to wear a halo for approximately 8 weeks. He will stay at the U of L hospital for a period of time and then go to Frazier Rehab Unit for approximately 2 - 3 weeks. The doctors are saying it is a miracle he is alive.

I've known Dr. Bentley for about 5 years. He is my daughter's doctor. He is the best doctor that there is. It does not matter if you see him in public he acts like he is part of your family. I would not take my child to ANY other doctor in town. Nurse Practitioner, or doctor it does not matter it's how you deal with your patients that count. WE LOVE DOCTOR BENTLEY and hope he recovers well. Please keep him and family in your prayers.
He is a great man.

I completely agree with you. He is my Doctor and my family thinks the world of him. No matter how sick I was when I went to see him, He always knew how to put a smile on my face. He is the best as you said in the office as well as outside the office. I don't care where you saw him at he always had a kind word and could always make you smile and laugh. I never met his wife, but from me and my family, our prayers are with you. Does anyone know where you can send cards to for him and his family. We need to show him how much he is loved and missed by everyone. He saved my life more than once and I would really like for him and his family to know how much we care and appreciate him. Bently and Candi our hopes and prayers are with you.

I know first hand that Bentley is a fantastic person and medical provider. Here is the truth. He does have to cracked vertebra and a bleed in the brain. The bleed in the brain is stable. He will have to wear a halo device to stabilize his neck for 3 months and may possibly have to go to rehab but that is not fact yet. He is now off the ventilator and is talking to his wife. He does not have a broken ankle. Prior to being sent to U of L he was following commands and squeezing hands. If you want to send him items you can send them to Westlake Primary Care of Russell County PO Box 2010 Russell Springs, Ky 42642 or simply drop them by the office and i will make sure that he gets them. We as friends and family really appreciate all the care, support and prayers that you have made know. Thanks
