I wouldn't go as far as to say that, but we don't need someone as president who will not even hold his hand over his heart when pledging to the American flag!!

There is nothing wrong with Pentacostal Churches. I had membership in one for several years. I finally left because my pastor, who was a great pastor; when he stayed in the Word of God.Yet when he got out of the Word of God and let self take over then I knew it was time to part ways with this Church.
I now am again a Baptist but I truly miss being a part of a Pentacostal Church.
There is a Pentecostal Church in Russell Springs It's about 3 miles past the Bank of Jamestown on 910. It's a great church

religion is a cult. different religions are just different cults. different sects within a religion are sects within a cult.

but hey, that's just my humble opinion.

it does concern me that for the few people around here who actually keep up with world events it is usually to see if end time prophecy is being fulfilled. it really feels as if i live amongst a superstitious tribe not of an age of space exploration, incredible medical advances and amazing (albeit troubling) technological advances... but ideology that more closely resembles what we know of humans thousands of years ago. troubling.

as usual, this does not apply to everyone, religious or not.

this church be a crazy church!!! went there one time. i sat in the back by myself(not one person spoke to me). and all they talked about was how bad people were and if the wrong people entered the church, they would bring evil in the church and they didn't want that and that those people were no good. not one time did i ever here anything mentioned about love or compassion toward others. isn't that part of church? showing the love and compassion of CHRIST??? and not only did they put people down, the other half of the service was about money. giving money to the church and how that how giving money to the church would make them become wealthy. i know you are supposed to give to church, but come on now... when the offering plate went around, they stubbed they're nose at me when i only put a $10 in the plate. i was furious. i will never be back there. i have never fealt so horrible in a church in my life. i have been raised to be in church, but that was the worst experience ever. pray for that church and the people that don't know any better...

it shouldn't matter what morning evening or night i went to this church! there is no certain day or night that it is ok to talk badly about people or to greedily take other peoples money for the pastors obvious wealth instead of the growth of the church.

Well Ms.Smarty Pants the reason I was asking is because you said that they looked their nose down on you when you put ten dollars in the offering when the offering plate was passed around. There is only one time a weekend that the offering plate is passed around the other times it sits in the front of the church. So therfore I was wondering how they lookedown on you when the plate is not passed !!!!!

We all would like to thank you for showing your ignorance. Your parents and family must be so proud of you. Please dont strain yourself with actual common sense your brain may explode. Please lets all pray for this person. That the Lord will open his eyes and give him common sense.

97% of churches preach false teachings and prophecy. So that means at least 97% of people are going to Hell. Sorry if that makes you mad but that's what the Bible says.
im sure that it wouldnt be a false teaching if your pastor was the one preaching it now would it

I have attended this church. I thought the people were very friendly, preaching was straight forward, strong, but true and needed. Only fault was how late the pastor held church. Three hours is a bit much, especially on Sunday and Monday night. Some folks have to work the next morning. That's the only reason i don't attend there regular. It shouldn't take Jesus all night to get his message across, he said he's do a quick work.

anyway, back on topic. the place is crazy. i have been before and the pastor goes out of his way to make anybody who doesn't go upfront and speak in tongues or run around the room, etc. feel bad. being a baptist, i was frequently referred to in sermons and on one occasion asked if i even believed in God. the guys name is homer stephens. what he does out there is semi-cultish. it's crazy.
He actually stopped a sermon and ask you do you believe in God.

Im not judging,But evidently you sound like your going for the wrong reason.
If that preacher is preaching the word of GOD,you better stay and listen If he preachers for 10 hrs.

You don't understand. Here is how it works, singing 30 min to 1 hour, preaching 1hour, talking about the past 1 hour. All i'm saying is God is only in about 2 hours of the service. I agree if it was all word, stay all night. Wasn't trying to down grade this church, I still attend every once in awhile.
