Ive had an iPhone 4 since they came out a couple years ago. My service is w/AT&T & I love my provider. I get all my updates free, if I have an issue with my phone I get a new one free. Lots of good stuff. I pay a flat fee & get all my email, unlimited texts. Unlimited long distance, lots of memory. Everything.
Here's my question, I hear some people go with Duo & I cannot imagine why since AT&T is. It only Nationwide but 3times faster than any other provider.
So why would anyone go with Duo? It makes no sense to me. So if you got Duo & an iPhone please tell me about what you get and how much you pay.

It takes me only seconds to download video or any other thing because AT&T is so very fast. Plus any question or anything anyone wants to learn can be done either over the phone or at the Apple store in Lexington. Do y'all get all that with Duo? I'm guessing you do not. So please tell me.

I have AT&T and it is NOT fast in Adair, Russell and some of the other surrounding counties, there is NO 3G/4G coverage, only EGDE. Most of the time its unusable, forget about streaming a video, you are lucky to check email and even that usually takes forever. Bluegrass on the other hand and pretty good data speeds around here. So if you don't do alot of traveling and want to actually use your iphone when you aren't on wifi its pretty good. AT&T has been "supposedly" bringing 3G here for 3-4 years now, been hearing the "it'll be here in 3-4 months" forever.

I also have AT&T, and I love it! No, we do not have the 3G/4G yet, and I agree how it causes the apps to run slow! But, I've also had Bluegrass before, and I absolutely HATED it! The customer service people was really RUDE, and would not help solve any issues! All it takes is one phone call to AT&T, and the issues are resolved! Plus, I don't have outragous phone bills from AT&T every month like I did from Bluegrass! I left Bluegrass 7 years ago, and that's the best thing I ever did! And, I left not paying them a damn dime on the last bill, which was always $300 or more, and they never could explain why! Bluegrass SUCKS, and they can kiss my A$$!

I was surprised to hear someone thinks AT&T is slow. I've been visiting here for over a month, so my AT&T iPhone service is actually in another state. I have not had any problem in Ky at all, only lost my signal once for less than 2 minutes due to the hills I travel through I guess. Strong signal all through several states, South to far North. No problem.
My friends home has Winstream for their Internet so while I'm there it's pretty good. But, I can go to visit people who don't even have Internet & no Wifi signal and I can still get on the Internet, it's just slower. That's the only time the speed has been slow, is when I'm without a Wifi signal. LOL.
Ive never had any issue or problem with AT&T. Their service is excellent. I think the rates are much cheaper than Duo as well. Especially when you consider Duo has a limited coverage area.
I don't know I that other poster was speaking of their iPhone or not. But I use mine constantly and spend a lot of time doing work over the Net. I can download anything in a blink. Super fast. So I don't get what they meant by slow?
A friend in someset just got a iPhone (3G) for .99cents,(didnt need the newer
verson) she pays just around 100 dollars a month, has all the long distance
she ever wants, all the Internet & email etc, all the texting. She loves AT&T
too. But she used to have Duo here in RC, she claims there's a huge
difference. Said your limited as far as the area your in, and speed was non
existent. Her bill was always changing.
My understanding is that AT&T merged with Bluegrass. All I know is AT&T is absolutely everywhere and at very high speeds.
Guess my question should be, do you travel out of the area or state with Duo and if you do, how is your service? How much do y'all pay for cell phone service only?

AT&T Sucks For Real. If you have a Smartphone in Russell County it will be useless!

Well I do have one, an Iphone4 to be exact and I have had no problems at all since I came visiting. None.My speed is remarkable too. But of course my provider is AT&T.

I cannot believe some of you people still pay roaming fees even though you're still in the state of Ky. LOL. What is the Bluegrass coverage area anyway, like 40 counties!

I was trying to find out fees for cellular service because another friend likes my iphone but is thinking of going with Bluegrass. I just wanted to know how they handle the iphones? For example as I understand it if she goes to Daytona on her yearly vacation, she won't be able to use her phone unless of course they have some sort of unlimited area coverage and i'm thinking they don't.

An aunt and uncle visited RC for 3 month, stayed in a camper and got Duo service. They hated it cause it was so slow and often unavailable, with droped calls, etc., and lots of extra charges.

Apparently you don't have service with Bluegrass on an Iphone or a smartphone, if you did, you could tell me what they charge you and what you get.

I switched from Bluegrass to AT&T and it was a bad decision for me. Like someone posted earlier, Russell, Adair, and other surrounding counties do not have 3G/4G capabilities so the iPhone (as well as other smartphones) have to use the AT&T EDGE network which causes internet speeds to be super slow. While I had service with Bluegrass, I always had at least a 3G connection. As far as the help with the iPhone having problems or malfunctioning, Apple stores will still help with these incidents. The iPhone comes with a year warranty through Apple no matter the carrier. As far as pricing goes, my Bluegrass bill was only around 70 dollars which is significantly cheaper than that with AT&T and that included unlimited data, text, and phone calls. Where service is concerned, I had better service and less dropped calls with bluegrass. With my AT&T iPhone, going down a little hill will cut me off of my phone call. Switching to AT&T was a HUGE downgrade for me. Hope this helps!

I use my 3G I-phone for mobile cell service all over the US where AT&T towers are and to make long distance calls. To maximize battery power I have minimum apps installed on my I-phone, don't text or play music or games and have the brightness control turned down to minimize battery power drain and re-charge time. The no-contract $40 a month H20 plan works fine for me the last year and a half.

LMAO...Bluegrass sucks!!!! I have AT&T, and I've never had a dropped call or bad service! I also have 5 iPhones on my account, with unlimited text, data plans for all 5 phones, and unlimited min. from any mobile to mobile, and the A-list which allows 20 landline numbers that you choose to be unlimited mins. My bill is $238.00 a month....That's a whole lot cheaper then Bluegrass, considering a friend of mine has Bluegrass with 4 lines on her account, and non are smartphones, and her bill runs 2
$215.00 a month! My internet runs just fine being connected to wifi, and I don't use it out from home much. So, I can get over the slowness!

Because whoever keeps saying it's fine is either (a)not from here or (b)works for AT&T. Data does not work. At all! I have no reason to lie. Everyone I know that has At&T has the same complaint. All the store personal will do is tell you that it will be 3 or 4 months before they have the technology.Just Like Mr or Mrs.LOL,I've heard the same story for about 3 years. Go with Bluegrass if you need data.

Whatever! If you can load a video or check weather radar without having a WIFI connection I'll eat my phone and yours. Are you sure your not standing in front of the ATT store now leaching off their WIFI?

I have the iPhone 4 through Sprint, and my 3G works perfectly fine in Russell Springs. Of course it's not near as fast as a wifi connection but I've not had any issues with my 3G connection here being slow. Can't say how AT&T is, well, because I obviously don't have their service.

I have heard that before! LOL Are we ever going to have it here. I was down in Casey Co. the other day in the middle of nowhere and was getting 3G on my AT&T phone. Actually Russell Co. is the only place I have not been able to get 3G. What's up?

I have bluegrass and also have the I phone 4 through them and it's a lot better than AT&T. My woman has AT&T and I get a lot better service then her my Internet is 10 times faster then hers bluegrass is just better. Her phone don't get service where I live out in the woods. She has to go outside to get a bar of service while I can sit anywhere in the house and get service
