The first 24 hrs is the easier to find your dog. But you MUST get out there & look. A lost dog typically within first 24 hrs will remain within a one mile radius. That's where you start. You put flyers out everywhere in that radius. On mailboxes, business, phone poles. With dogs photo and a number someone can be reached at anytime.
Go door to door, making folks aware of your dog & leave flyer with your info. Some people will see the dog but not know it's lost or whom to call.

I suggest you visit the AKC lost/missing dog site for more valuable tips on getting your dog back.

However IF you ate not out there seeking to find your dog.... You likely will not get him back. So do the leg work & bring him home.

Oh I'd also ask principle to make an announcement of the missing dog with a description. That many young people means someone there has most likely already see. Or had contact with your dog.
Hopefully you've already done this since the clock is ticking.

I understand there's a creek back in behind the school. One of the first things a lost dog seeks out is "water"! So that would be my first stop. Have food & treats with you. And call out the dogs name. But be sure to wait long enough in one spot for him to catch up to You. He may hear you but if you leave the area too soon you'll miss him. Be patient and wait.

Are you still looking for your dog? I just found a young brindle female dog in NE Ohio she looked like she had been lost through the winter. Really on the move when I found her. Can you describe markings on your dog and name?

Does any of the female brindle boxers have white down her chest and a bit of white on her toes and a little under her chin and a black mask? At a time she was wearing a pink collar. Please let me know.
