You can help by contacting your state legislators Girdler and Hoover and tell them to support state legislation limiting meth precursor cold medicines to prescription sales only. This will help stop meth makers "smurfing" cold tabs.

I have mixed feelings about the cold medicines being prescription only. I dont think this will solve anything. I think it will actually make it even more available for those with medical cards. And I realize meth production isnt limited to any certain economic status. But I think in some ways turning "prescription only" could make things worse.

I tend to agree with you here, especially the 'economic status' part. I see the real problem as being in the court systems. A judge [any judge guilty of this] pulls the teeth of the judicial system when they 'wimp out 'on the bench, and resort to the 'wrist-slapping ' and handing out diminished sentences BECAUSE of economic status and community -standings of parents and kinfolks. The maximum should be handed out and a lot of this stops.

It does make a difference. Oregon made over the counter meth precursor cold medicines prescription only and statistics showed Oregon meth labs decreased significantly.

Looks like your son is a now a meth "zombie"-the walking dead. Go to the local health department ASAP and see what drug abuse programs are available for him.

i agree it is horrible. I lost a husband to making meth and my child also lost a father. Once I figured out what was going on I left. Now he is in prison.
