I find it very sad that the only thing on the front page of this "joke" of a newspaper is state wide news. We have a Grand Jury investigation of county official corruption going on in the county. Is proof to everyone that the newspaper is in cohorts with the alleged corruption?(Just asking not saying so no article in next weeks Times Journal is needed warning me about slander and liable). 9.27 is the only one with the boldness to stand up and report the news. If there is an indictment will all or some report it. In my opinion the news media has become corrupt much like the ones they are supposed to be reporting about.

Well at this point there has been NOTHING to report as far as any GJ investigation goes. GJ investigations are NOT public matters. The press DOES NOT report on who MIGHT be indicted at some point in the future just like they don't report on who MIGHT have a wreck in the future or who almost had a wreck on the way to work yesterday. It isn't news unless and until something happens. If and when any indictments are handed down, I'm sure ALL the local and at least some of the statewide press will report on it. At this point, there is simply NOTHING to report on. Sorry you can't get them to help you drag someone through the mud, but trials are held in the courthouse, not Topix and the local newspapers.

Then why did 9.27. report on it. Let me ask you a question bub. If there were an Grand Jury investigation about Grider Drug or another business that was not in the "click" would the Times Journal report on it or would it just look the other way. Why don't the newspaper(s) take a more active role in the missing persons in the county, the unsolved crimes, the rising drug/crime problem. If the newspaper "waits" until all the facts are available why did it take the court docket out of the publication when the new publisher took over. Is the newspaper(s) in this county slanted one way. In my opinion yes. It looks you and I disagree over this bubba.

well seems like bubba is one of the good ole boys in this town also.He is always quick to defend the police on here when someone even implies that corruption that may be taking place in this town.Correct me if i am wrong but when the lady that filed the lawsuit against russell springs police chief didnt the TJ newspaper have this great big article in its newspaper from the chief letting him defend his self and the city saying how the charges didnt hold any merit.he even took out something on the radio even but they didnt care one bit about having a picture of the lady that had the city sued with the article by the police chief.Did they ask her if she wanted to say something in response to the police chiefs article?I say not but seems like bubba fails to mention things like that.Maybe Bubba got his or her name for a good reason seems like in prison Bubba is someone who has met Bubba in a not so nice way.At least 92.7 had some guts to but both sides of a story on the news until they were threaten with a lawsuit of some kind.Th e good ole boy system want there name heard when they want it but dont want it mentioned when it may make them look bad.So maybe Bubba and the chief are pals to a certain degree but being i dont know for sure i guess as Bubba puts it it is just an alledged allegation.Thank you Bubba for such a great insight on our local news people .They can close the doors to both papers as Bubba knows all and can report all.Gee that will save me a whole $1.00 every week .
