I'll answer your question: 1) It is Russell County (need I say more?); 2) the main criminals in the county work in the courthouse and they take care of their friends; and 3) drugs and alcohol are king.

Ok... Tina was 15... what could she have done to deserve anything of this manner... are u sure the one you serve dont have a pitchfork and horns??!!
She was like a sister to me and my family took care of her too.She stayed with us at times and everyone loved her, still loves her. She has family in Indy but who are you to judge how they loved her? Regardless of any of this, the ACCUSED sick pieces of wasted shit don;t derseve life even if it is in prison.. read details about wht they did to her and they deserve worse than that. I was I think 12 the last time I saw Tina and she was not a throwaway like some people refer to her as. SO what she ranaway from foster care. I am still close to her brothers and they can tell you that Tina didn't cause problems for anyone.. she was a smart lovely girl and brought so many smiles and joy to our lives.. let it rest you say? WHY should it rest when she didn't get to rest and die peacefully? I say to hell with Jack Shaffer and Paul Poppellwell... they were sick perverted pieces of shit when I met them at age 12 and I'm sure even now 20 years later they are the same.. Even if they claim to be innocent for a murder they aren't innocent in their lives. If they did it once they would do it again. Russell County has a record for not solving murders. What could this little raggedy ass county have to hide, lose, or gain by covering up for these pieces of shit? We can hash this out for the rest of my life but fact remains Tina did not deserve to be treated like that and she is as always sadly missed. So why do people wait 20 years and then start talking shit? Leave her family alone. Why not talk about the people who commited the grotesque crimes against her. Read the files then you try to covince yourself that a young lady deserved that!!! If you believe she deserved it then that puts you on the level of the people who did it.

you all are retarded..especially the ones who are claiming to have loved tina..she stayed with a foster parent..but this woman had no relation to tina what so ever...what i would like to know is where were these so called loving (blood) aunts that loved her so much when tina was living in foster care and then after she ran away from foster care..living in an abandond trailer, which I was told Ronnie Copley was taking care of her at this time. The last she was seen was at the russell county fair. I want to go on, but not for the sake of these so called loving family members..so i won't. what happened to tina was a terrible thing and the main guy(Jack Shaffer) involved has finally paid. although it took him killing 5 more people, in a drunk driving incident. god took tina out of her misery and made her pay for the things she had done here on earth at the same time, but he also made the killer pay later. that's all i have to say about this at this time.

That will never happen! One of those guys is living a better life than most of you all. Now that's justice, ain't it!

If I am not mistaken, you all are talking about the girl that was killed down by a creek there , right? And if its the same person I am thinking, Phillip Morgan was the judge, and dismissed the case right? I never voted for him again after that, I always felt he should have done more.

Yes, you are correct, Morgan was the judge, but dismissing the case was NOT his fault. It was Eddie Lovelace's and hotshot deputy sheriff Bill Popplewell's. Eddie's law license was suppended and poor Bill didn't have film in the camera. They tied the judge's hands to where he had no other choice.

Sit tight! Wait for the next one to happen. Nobody can get nothing done about alcohol and drugs in homes of abused children. Never mind, that Hal Rogers has put $30 plus into 29 counties to fight drugs and all the law wants is the money.
A shame? You bet it is!!!!!!!!!!

I always thought it was Morgans fault, I stand corrected if thats the case. But a lot of people here thought like I did at the time.It has been so long ago I can barely remember it.

Hi Aunt Kathy, this is lisa, i never met you but I am glad you responded.I knew Buzz very well, he was also very good friends with my family.Do you ever talk to William and Larry? I would love to see them again. I know they would remember me. sorry it took so long to responed but I have been in the processes of moving. I will keep in touch, because I would love to meet you one day. There is not a day that goes by that I dont think or talk about her. Tina will always be in my heart and mind. She was a bright beautiful young girl that will always be remembered. She was let down by a lot of people and for this one day she will be brought to light. Many people will talk about her for years to come and maybe their will be no more of our children sweet under the rug

Jack has been a lifelong criminal. he has hurt people everywhere he has been and I doubt that will ever change. He has always been a person that would steal anything that isn't bolted down. God help us all if he is ever paroled.
