<quoted text>this is Tina's aunt. First of all Tina's mother did not kick her out. She kept running away. Her mother tried to get the juvenile system here to pick her up and get her off the street. She was put in a foster home and she ran away from there. HER MOTHER SUFFERED FROM AVERY SERIOUS MENTAL PROBLEM. Regardless of the circunstances that were in Tina's life no one had the right to take it from her.Teenagers are rebellios, that doesn't give you the right yo condemn her mother. I see many teenagers hanging out at the fair and the parking lot in key village. Are their parents unfit.or should this happen to them.Tina was a little girl and after what she had to endure that night that the scum of the world did to her, I am sure she welcomed death. She will never receive justice from earth, but rest assured there is a GOD and those responsible will have to answer to him. You see GOD'S TRIALS CANNOT BE BOUGHT, THEY CAN'T BE SWAYED AND NO AMOUNT OF GOOD STANDING IN THE COMMUNITY CAN DETER HIM FROM THE RIGHTFUL PUNISHMENT. I hope you cowardly murderers read this and know that no matter how much you ask for forgiveness, you can't be sincere without confessing your sin. So when you come clean you may have a chance when judgement day comes.
Aunt Mary is right Tina was not homeless she ran away alot because she was a rebellious teenager. If she stayed in a trailer it is because was hiding. Here in Indy I could not understand why she kept running because her father took good care of her. I would often joke with her and ask do you want to switch parents, because I thought her dads family was wonderful, better then mine.I kept intouch with Tina up until she ran away from mom. Tina wrote things in letters I feel that might be important to her case. Her words she wrote stuck with me for years. I went to see her grave yesterday, She has roses in gold on her head stone, very beautiful. Aug 4 will mark 20 years worth of pain. Tina will always be in my heart and in my dreams. I loved her.

being rebilious, homeless, young, or any other thing about this child was no reason or excuse for her death. my heart went out for her and her family no matter what the situation was. the court system then is no better than the court system today. it is a small town that is runned by politics and the last name of people and money that can buy a judgement and also the people that have nothing to contribute to society but can take care of you other ways(scratch my back and i will scratch yours) it is a small town that has more churches than its own population. the name of god has no bearing on any decisions that are made in that town only the name of person that runs the church. i am not talking about the pastors just the big name that attends and contributes. russell county is a very sickning place. take for instance: tara conner could not even shine a light on the town but only added to the way it really is. i no longer live there and never will again. someone wanted to know about unsolved murders, what about amy fisher (i think that would be the correct name)sometime in the earlier 80s, the young lady that came up missing from the rc fair one night and was never found but there was a lot of gossip and unanswered guestion, and there was a few big names mentioned. this young lady would have been in her late 40 today. i remember a comment made about the smell of burning flesh coming from a particular persons home a few days after her missing and no one every question.the town will never be changed.

You are right rebellious is no reason for any child to have thier lives taken. Christine Fisher age 16 run from foster care, just like Tina, but this was in Owensboro Ky, America's most wanted did a program on her, Did it ever ocurred to you that John Walsh might help bring her killers to justice. I know their were four guys involed and they say only one was the trigger man,too me they all were involed so they are all murders, not just one.
If John Walsh can not do anything he still might be able to put the killers faces on t.v. That way they will never rest until they die.

You got me wondering, you are the only one that responed who knew what 2 brothers I was talking about. Are you family, friend, reporter because you responded quickly. I did not know that all of this was on the computer
and I am happy to know that people has not forgotten about my b.f.f. I was 16 years when this happened and wondering what ever happen to those bad men that took my best friend away for ever. I do want justice served and I dont want to wait another 20 years.

I believe she did have family and I know who drove her brother ( who did live in Russell county) to Bryan to inform their mother about her death.

I have a question to ask: Is the Chef deputy Bill Popplewell related to Paul Popplewell? Paul Poolewell and Jack Shaffer are half brothers.

Wrong. She had a 1/2 brother,Mike McHugh, here when she died. As for the mother, she would not let Tina live with her.At least, that is what she and Mike both told.

Tina was a great friend. She had a hard knock life. I was probably one of the closest people to her.I will never forget the person she was and always will be in my heart.Ifeel better knowing that she is in a better place now with GOD's loving arms around her.The killers did not get away with it.The man above knows what happened and they will get what is coming to them.Even though she is gone,She is not forgotten.

The way this whole case was handled was a disgrace. Of course, there was a major coverup of the evidence by corrupt politicians--including Bill Popplewell. Yes, he is dead. Has been for several years. I heard of AIDS. God is a just God.
I guess Mr. Popplewell is not too happy where I think he is at. Someday the others will follow.
