who cares, this is the grayson forum!
Everyone in Ashland already thinks grayson is so beneath them, why would anybody from grayson want to go to anything in ashland anyway?

Get on the ashland forum, they care!

Beauty pageants are useless and ignorant. Why do we feel the need to acknowledge something one has no control over? It doesn't take any skill to be good-looking, and it teaches our children to be superficial. Where's the community service pageant? Or the hero pageant? I can think of all kinds of people who should be recognized for good deeds, doing well, being kind......that's what makes a person beautiful.....not the way they look. It's pathetic and detrimental to our youth to put such a value on looks

Actually, pageants are partially community service, and a lot about world changing. The basis of pageantry is making a difference along with the self-esteem it takes to look beautiful, and something where you have to have to raise money for Children's Network to even participate in the Miss America system. Most pageant women are compassionate and truly care about making a difference in the world, and a crown and a title can put each of us more out there to be seen and heard. My platform is Teen Abstinence and I feel very strongly about it. I've been around to schools and had many pledges to stay abstinent. So, "pageant stupid", think about feelings and the fact that you know nothing about us.

So...it's about how much money you have also? How much your parents can donate? Yeah, I know how that goes. Looks and money. How superficial. If you really cared about your "causes" you would volunteer/donate anonymously. Sounds as if you're only doing it to win. It's all about "LOOK AT ME!" And how about all the scandals involving the Miss America winners. When questions are posed that are not pre-rehearsed, most contestants sound like idiots.

Excuse Me PAGEANT STUPID!!(which is exactly what you are)

My family is broke as a joke and my mother and I have to work hours and hours of overtime just to buy one gown. So don't even start to say it is all about money cause my family doesn't have much of it. And don't even start calling us pageant girls hypocrites because most of us did volunteer work before we even started pageants. Most of us don't even do the pageants to get noticed, we do it for the scholarship money because lets face it COLLEGE IS EXPENSIVE!!!
So before you start going off on my little sister again, let me say one thing to you: Pageantry isn't all what you see on tv in shows like Toddlers & Tiaras --Ask a beauty queen what its all about.

My olest boy (03yrs) his so awesome and I would love to enter him, his dad would never let me when he was little said he would turn out GAY!!!! I'm sure I see others winning and I'm tired of my little one not being in the race cause he could win.... Sorry bout all that sure u don't care I just need to know about that Labor Day one or it there is any other ones to enter my boy in?

If your little boy wants to do pageants then thats great. They usually dont do sepecific pageants for the parade except the winterwonderland pageant, if you do that one then he rides on the winter wonderland float.Thats the only one i know about for the parades cause i just did it.But others require you to ride when you win. You just ask around to find pageants to enter him in between now and then to ride in that parade. Then you enter the parade in the pageant division. Thats why there are so many different titles that ride by. If you go to laras or look them up on the internet then you can find some that are comming up soon.

Hope I helped=)

Why would anybody from grayson go to an ashland pagent anyway, the way people from ashland look down on the people from carter county, as if they had anything to have the big head about.

For gods sake, its ashland not Miami.
