Becky Kitchens said Wednesday that after a four month stint, she is stepping down from her post as Henderson's Main Street manager.
Kitchens announced her resignation during a recent Main Street Advisory Board meeting, citing her full-time job with Henderson Memorial Hospital and pregnancy as the reasons she's resigning from the position.
Kitchens said her resignation will be effective May 31. She said she'll will remain on the Henderson Main Street Advisory Board.
Mayor J.W. "Buzz" Fullen said the city is looking to combine the manager position with the new civic center director's job.
"We need a full-time director for Main Street," Fullen said. "It's something that we are going to look into during the summer budget planning sessions. We're going to miss Becky. Even though she will still be on the board, she will be missed."
