It is pretty bad that Burns Funeral Home could not get the information typed on their website correctly.

This a a terrible thing that happened! I can as a parent only imagine what they are going through. And it happened so quickly! The flu is nothing to mess around with!

This is a horrible thing for any parent or grandparent (family member) to deal with in life, we are not suppose to bury our childen.

I know as a parent and from growing up, kids get sick and we never really think something like this tragedy would happen from a cold or flu. My heart breaks for the family, know that he is an angel and is safe, healthy and happy in his heavenly home with Jesus!

He did have the flu, also pneumonia, also found something wrong with his digestive tract. Still a mystery as to why he died. He will be missed.

I've heard there was an autopsy performed, so at least his parents and family can gain a little bit of closure as to why. Such a sad, sad thing. He was too young.

Friend of family said he was running a temp of 104 that led to bleeding on the brain.

No 104 fever or bleeding on the brain. The truth, which is really is not anyone's business, but I will state it so the truth is out there, is that he had flu, viral pneumonia, and part of his bowel died, which caused sepsis. Still no determination as to why a healthy 10 year couldnt fight all those things, or what caused his bowel to die, but hopefully the coroner can get more detailed results in the near future, so the parents can have more answers. RIP Grant.

I realize it isn't anyone's business but I think people really care and are concerned when something like this happens. We don't want to be nosey and intrude but want to try to make sense of something this tragic. Better to have the truth than speculations.

It is tragic and I believe all that are interested in this is so we can do whatever may be possible in our power to prevent this to our children. God bless this family and may God grant them strength to make it through this.
