I don't know who sunspot62 is, but he/she has offered a very different view on this topic. They raise some very good points on this case, as tragic as it is. I do hope the very best for mr. Crabtree as well as his family. Also closure to the deceased boys parents. This really is tragic. We can all easily say "I'd never do..." The reality is NONE of us can say what we would do in the EXACT situation. It is clear that for whatever reason/s he snapped. We each would have to be in the same exact circumstance with no part left out as Mr. Crabtree was at the time before passing armchair judgement. I'm sure there are/were a lot of factors and facts we just don't have in this matter ansd should consider that also before wishing more death and more families affected. pure and simple...none of really know what we would do.

The person who committed the crime was guilty. He admitted to everything he did. So how is he innocent if he admited to it. It's lucky he was caught when he was. There would have been more victims if he wasn't.

"more victims"...?? Really?! Then you don't know anything about this case! Jeff was not out on some sort of rampage just looking to hurt - much less kill - anyone!! Unless you 'KNOW' all the facts on something, you should keep your thoughts (and mouth!) shut

Seriously, If It were my son that Mr.Crabtree murdered in such a violent marrer, He wouldnt have made it this far! Karma!
How many times are all of you idiots going to keep calling it 'murder' w/out knowing what really went down?!! It was a 'fight' and Jeff was not the only one that hit the guy!! Amy did as well!!! Who knows which 'blow' actually killed him?? When the sheriff called Jeff to tell him to turn himself in, his first words were "I know I shouldn't have beat him up" .... only to be told that he was dead!! This wasn't a case where one person went looking for another with the intent to harm/kill! He found Amy & him in bed together and was under the influence as well. Unless you've been pushed to your limits and then walked in the same shoes - don't act like Jeff got 'what he deserved' here!!

"whoyafoolin" needs to "gettaclue"
