although it is hard to believe, there are many single ppl out there that are a great catch! I will speak for myself here..i have had a few bad relationships and refuse to be in another one, just for the sake of having someone there. I will be alone and happy for as long as it is Gods will. And i enjoy topix for a few reasons..one being that ppl have these quirky personalities that shine through in conversation. And bluto, your charm is undeniable! Js.

Back to the "Positive"
I enjoy doing something nice for someone that isn't needy, but very appreciative for my efforts.
Such as giving vegetables from my garden, or jelly that Gramma made.

actually i was commenting on how charming bluto is. Maybe you should calm down! A little friendly banter is not garbage!! Sorry this thread isn't trashy enough for your taste, but we are just having fun. And why should it be removed just because YOU don't find it amusing? Chill out....baby! That was a shout out to animal control. Looks like we need him to snag that 'catfish'. Lol

i also enjoy doing for others, with no strings attached. Just a friendly gesture that makes someone happy. I love veggies from a home garden, very nice of you to think of others. Today i went to Columbus to pick something up for my neighbors who couldn't make it there bc their car isn't highway safe. Ended up taking me 5 hours for a two hour trip due to weather..but it was a nice trip with good company. We even got rear-ended in cbus ( no damage). But all said and done, i am glad i went. They really needed a favor, and i was happy to help. In the end, it is all about what we can do for our fellow man..and good karma is something i like to pass around :)

Everyone put in your order for banana nut bread! When I first moved here, the neighbor brought me a loaf of bread and said, "welcome to the neighborhood." That neighbor has moved but I continue to pass the tradition on. I have a new neighbor and making the bread this week-end. Speak up now if you want a loaf or you'll have to wait till I get another new neighbor!!!! LOL

sorry, i did reply to the wrong post!! Lol..i thought it was cute too! It is, of course (for me), out of the question to actually meet up w someone online; however, it is still fun to acknowledge a persons' attractiveness that shines through in their personality online :) sorry, i know you were genuinely tickled with the little topix romance, as I was as well. ;)

I am sure you had plenty to do at home for 5 hours. You can do it later. I am sure your neighbors were very grateful. That was wonderful of you, sorry about the rear-ending, glad no one was hurt. I know you feel blessed. You will be rewarded, wait and see.

You are right, i had plenty of other things to do, but helping a neighbor is never a deed too inconvenient! Neighbors are people that will save you in a jam, helping with kids, a cup of sugar, etc. I often feel that my neighbors are the closest people in my life (no pun intended!!). They are the people we see everyday, talk to about our daily lives, and most importantly our kids are best of friends because they can always count on the neighbor kids to play :) The accident was actually a little remimder that even when doing for others, life will still throw a curve ball at you..but God was smiling down on us. Thankfully, neither car was damaged and no one was hurt! Blessing are beautiful. Thank you for your kind words and concern.

During Christmas time someone left a gift bag on my porch was a hand painted glass bulb! There was a poem inside that talked about paying it forward and wishing me a Merry Christmas! It really made my day! A complete stranger took the time to do something nice for me! It worked! I made cookies for all my neighbors and added and similar note!:)

I went to Aldi's Saturday, offered to 'buy' a couple's cart, they wouldn't take my quarter. I think he was a policeman, but not in uniform. I don't have the opportunity to visit our law inforcement, frequently. Thank you very much!!
