Greenpeace and all of these other liberal environmental and animal rights groups need to be put to rest. The people that belong to these organizations need to get a job and do something that actually benefits the world. I would love to see Japan arm their whaling ships with torpedoes or something to blow them out of the water. The Greenpeace organization is nothing but a bunch of loosers. Lock them all up for life for the damage they have done to this country.

You gotta love Greenpeace. What a bunch of "peace loving terrorists." It always amazes me that these anti-establishment groups will protest a war by burning cars and looting buildings. They attack people with rocks and clubs in the name of peace. And why do they cover their faces? I guess anything goes in the name of peace. I always envision these protesters in an actual war zone. Can you imagine all these anti-gun fanatics and peace lovers when the real conflict starts here? They will be hiding under cars and in closets, crying like a bunch of whining babies. They protest wars and corporate America. They condemn the very troops that put their lives on the line to afford these thugs the freedom to protest. It's disgusting to watch these punks demonstrate against a country that allows them the freedom to live and work in the greatest nation on earth. They don't appreciate the sacrifice that millions of people have made in past generations. They are spoiled thugs that have never faced real danger.

Why don't they call them what they really are... "Paid" Activists. Everyone knows greenpeace can't find people to volunteer for their cause.

Boy am I ever glad 8 people broke the law and brought an environmental concern to the forefront of my consciousness by scaling Mt. Rushmore. Prior to the time these saints performed this selfless act of martyrdom I was just living my life thinking everything was ok. Now, since they have done this Iíve seen the light.

Not!

How about a real punishment so the next set of clowns won't try it? The justice system is a joke.

Too bad they all didn't just fall off. Judge should have jacked up Greenpees too, as well as declared them persona non gratis in the state for intentional criminal behavior.

whoever this judge is he or she (probably she - it figures) should be disbarred. These people shouldn't be allowed anywhere near Mount Rushmore or any national park, ever. They should be shot.

Free speech! What's wrong with it? They left no trace, and made a statement. There are real criminals out there that deserve serious punishment. Community service is appropriate.

I think you are painting the protest movement with a pretty broad brush. These folks are encouraging conservation of the worlds finite resources, not our country's freedom.
