Read your neighborhood blog about speeding on Rainbow Lane. Good point, we all should watch out for the children.
However ,you should teach your kids that the road is for cars and to be careful.
You have sidewalks up there,why not use them?

How about immediately after you turn onto Elm St.from 5 & 20 or come up to the corner from Elm St to 5 & 20? There are kids running across the road from that trailer park all the time. People need to go very slow there. I don't know how many times I've come close to hitting one of those kids. There have even been times where there is an adult present when one of the heathens runs out in front of me. They NEVER look to see if there is a car coming... they just run from between those trailers and across the road with no concern for their safety or anyone driving a vehicle. The look at you like you're in the wrong when they are the ones who came out of nowhere and RUN in front of your vehicle. One of them is going to get hit and it will be their parents fault. Nobody seems to be teaching these kids how to cross the road safely... and these aren't all small kids. The bigger ones should know better. Heck, they teach this to kids in school. Someone should catch on somewhere that these kids are endangering their lives with their careless behavior.

This isn't a speeding vehicle problem, it's a careless kids/parent problem.

Instead of arging and trying to make something work that isn't...everyone needs to pick up the poop, watch out for "heathens"(where I'm from we call them children). Talk to the authorities to build some giant speed bumps with a sign that says "slow down-heathen crossing". Hope you had a chuckle.
