I thought Schaffers was supposed to be a good christian environment to work

All these posts about people at Schaffers are disturbing. I though this place was based on christian values, not who is sleeping with who, or who is cheating on who. What is the deal? Don't anyone have morals or values anymore? Does marriage mean nothing, does love mean nothing? How can people just give their bodies away like you talk about on here?
I really had the wrong impression of this place. How can you do quality work when all that is on your mind is the garbage you are putting on topix?

i thought the same thing about schaffers until my spouse started working there and said dang near everybody there sleeps with each other, cheats with people working there, swaps wives, and worse! thats what he had to sit and listen on his lunch break. he even had to sit in the break room and watch where some people out there went to jerry springer over some trashy mess one day while eating his lunch. also from what i understand the place is none to safe and when you get hurt they try to find reasons to fire you. they are no better than anyone else in this messed up world in my opinion!

Does your husband still work there? How does he stay out of the mess? Is there not an alternative place to eat and have break so you don't have to hear this? Why doesn't managment sit in on these conversations? If this is a christian business then there should be some expectations of standards and ethics, morals and values. Its like these people writing on topix are animals.

i agree, his only choice was leaving for lunch, and no he recently switched jobs and i couldnt be be more happy for him they also work their employees hard and dont give them raises like they should, he was a good employee, didnt call in, wasnt late, and is a hard worker and he worked there for quite some time and didnt make much more than when he started.

just to add this, i know they cant do anything about what their employees do when they are not at work but they could pick employees that have values and morals, and like u said sit in on breaks so the trashy stuff doesnt go on in front of the good people they have there and maybe seperate the men and woman from each other that would not only cut down on that stuff but keep their employees better focused on their work. also.

Although the owners (and others there) are Christians, they cannot hire nor fire anyone based on religious beliefs; it is illegal. However, I agree it is very sad that these employees choose to behave like animals. One would hope they would have more respect for themselves if not for others. Unfortunately, the world as a whole no longer has any moral or ethic values. Thankfully there are still Christians who are willing to stand up for what they believe and not tolerate this debauchary. God bless them!

there are some christain people who work there and yes the bosses are all christains and great guys. My son worked there after being raised in a christain home, we encouraged him to quit not because of the bosses but because of people who work there. I certainly didnt want him to think that the way some of the men act there is how a REAL man acts.
I was disgusted and did not want him to start picking up their trash. But again there are some christains there maybe they can reach someone else. I just know u would have to be strong in your faith or it would eventually pull u down to their level.

There was more people there when I worked there that couln't pass a drug test than that could, when the drug wagon came ,half the staff was absent or got fired afterward!Most of them drank in the parking lot after work, or had affairs or were swingers, or pose nude on the internet!AGlad Im out of that mess!! But there are some decent people who work there!!

Do not believe that all the bosses are "great guys."

They actually let the older employees bully the younger ones and do nothing. They also lay off but call them fired so they can not received UC. You can go on and on because there is so many things that Company does that is not very Christian that I have a hard time believing that the company is run by real Christians. It is easy to say you are a Chritian firm but very hard to follow Christians way in business.

whos slandering? the big o sex circle out there is im sure not a shocker to anyone, the whole town knows how it is out there! and also how they have been getting rid of everyone so they look "good" like they are bringing jobs to cape and dont care about any of the employees in the small town they are moving from. or how people get hurt out there and they find reasons to get rid of them, i know of instances of all of the above its hardely slander when its true!!!!!!!!!

Did you not hear about or see the jerry springer episode of a bunch of the workers out there? well, if ya havnt maybe you should look it up or hell just ask them for it, they watch it in the breakroom out there faithfully. my boyfriend thought that was so tacky to have to sit around and hear that crap on his lunch break or have to leave cuz he's normal. proof enough?

anyway im done postig about this, thats my opinion of schaffers and always will be and im not alone in thinkig that by no means

Not everyone that works there is like that. Don't label every employee in the plant by the actions of others. But please do keep in mind the same type of stuff goes on in all types of work enviroments, including procter & gamble, banks and even at the hospitals. So it's not just Schaffer's.
